Got myself a Yildiz 410 single barrel. I think it's going to be the kind of gun that is going to do a lot of riding around in my trunk (now if only I had a chimp to keep it company).

Dependent upon how well it shoots, I may start hunting again with 410 gauge. I knew there was some reason I bought that 410 bore ammo last week being I did not own a gun in that gauge/bore. Getting that ammo bestowed me with that ages old excuse: I bought another gun because I had that ammo but nothing with which to shoot it. That is perfect justification in my eyes.

Then again I only need to appease myself as to why I bought the Yildiz. That was one of the wonderful things about my wife before we separated, she never once questioned me buying guns or ammo or the fact that I had 50,000 rounds of it or more in our basement. Damn, maybe she was a keeper after all - too late now! I may have to go buy another gun soon to makeup for feeling uncertain about that last thing.

Trying to get my Kel-Tec CMR-30. I ordered it through Grabagun.com. My regular FFL (Wild Bill's Pawnshop #1 on Butternut in Abilene) was not on their list so I selected another one in the area. Per Fedex, it was delivered to the shop on Friday (November 13th) at noon but they told me they had a lot of packages and they would call me when to come in. No call on Saturday.

Let your FFL know that his FFL has expired with Grabagun...and send them an updated FFL........Grabagun won't let the FFL know.....recently had to do the same after a customer told me I wasn't on Grabagun's list anymore....

Guess I bought a shotgun today! I won a gunbroker auction on a 12 gauge Remington Model 11-48. I had been looking at getting a 12 gauge, and I’m partial to the older guns, so I bid on a few different ones. The first couple went way beyond what I was willing to spend (thankfully since the pics looked pretty rough), and actually I was sure this one would to, since it looked like it was in much better shape, and was the standard model and not the less expensive sporting model that the other ones were.

1st semiautomatic shotgun I owned was an 11-48. Mine was a jam-o-matic when I first got it. The problem was it would fire a couple of times and the like would come out and jam it. I rep!add them a couple of times and read about others that had them extended by tig welding etc. Finally figured out that the problem was the front of the election port in the receiver was worn from years if use a losing the bolt to travel forward too far quick let the links lol out. Solution was to sand down the fore end slightly and that moved the barrel back just enough to stop the over travel of the bolt. I hope you do not have the same issues I did.

I ordered a PTR-91 FR last week because I couldn’t find an FAL in stock anywhere. I figured if i came across one I’d cancel my order for the PTR before it shipped.

The PTR shipped this morning, right as I find a few different FAL’s in stock. Ended up ordering a DS Arms FAL as well.

Anyone in the market for a brand new, unfired PTR-91 FR lol? Not sure I want to keep both.

One is better than none. Two is better than one.
