    My latest...

At a knife show in Little Rock AR this weekend. Bought a new knife so Iwas carrying this one, by Bobby Toole of Mississippi. Bobby specializes in old school patterns; the knife pattern here is a gunstock pattern.

I have to admit, my most used knife is a tiny Case knife that sits on the table beside my chair in the living room. It mostly opens mail and packages.

Sometimes I'll carry a traditional style pocket knife instead of my Swiss Army knife, and keep a Sear's 4-way keychain screw driver and my old P-38 in my wallet. I like a stockman pattern of knife for giving me three different blades in one pocket size package. Here's my Northwoods stockman with 1095 carbon blades.

    Perfect!
Just something about the looks of that knife that speaks to me.
Added to the cart and pulling the trigger.
Thank you very much for taking the time to get back with that.
Let me know if/when I can return the favor ...

UPDATE: Been carrying either the larger one shown above, or the "mini" version of the same, for a few months now.
Despite that this particular SOG model is Chinese, don't know that in 60+ years of carrying one daily I've ever been happier with a knife.

What about it makes you so happy?

Nice feel, falls nicely into the hand from the pocket, despite the clip.

But, most importantly, and because I use a knife multiple times a day for a myriad of tasks, I'm tickled with the fact it has held the superb edge it came with very well.

Although I have had a "Ken Onion" WorkSharp in the shop if needed, all this knife has had since I bought it is a few strokes on a paddle mounted leather strop ... and it didn't really need that.

About the only con is that it took a while to get the stiffness out for one hand operation
Then again, no spring chicken, and the thumb stud, spring assisted opening concept was not something I was used to in a folding knife.
    Works fine now ...

I decided to shake things up a bit today after re-discovering this one in my closet.

I can't recall the model, but I like it.

Sidenote: I learned the hard way, and only recently, that routine stropping will significantly reduce the need for sharpening.
