I can break it in with anything. I'll fire up my DSD copy of the Schubert String Quartet No. 14 in D minor D. 810, Death and the Maiden: III. Scherzo. Allegro molto. by the Oslo String Quartet later when I want to start making critical judgements about the sound quality.

For now, I'll settle for some throwaway pop and some reminders of my youth. BTW, even my throwaway pop is all in high-res files.
I still get goosebumps from Die Valkure. I cried at the opera when Wotan laid Brunnhilde down on the rock in an enchanted sleep as a mortal woman to be abused by any warrior brave enough to pierce the ring of fire. Shit broke me up!

What! No Flock of Seagulls or Men without Hats? ;>)
Too many chick-centric songs, eh? At least I didn't include the entire Carole King discography... ;)

Seriously, that's what I like about "current playlist" posts; they give insight into a particular mood. The last couple of days have been weird; I shudder to think of what'll be on my playlist in the morning.

I've never built a playlist before...wouldn't know where to start.
I usually fire up an album and listen it through start to finish.

I've been in a big hiphop/rap mood lately. I go back and forth between that and rock. Being the Grand Theft Auto fan that I am, I find some songs from the game finding their way into my playlist as well.

So right now, a few examples are:

    Marion Band$-Hold Up
    Neon Indian-Change of Coast
    Wavves-Nine is God
    Yeasayer-Don't come close
    Jay-Z-Holy Grail, Tom Ford
    Daft Punk-Get Lucky
    Kanye-Monster, Love Lockdown, Heartless
    Cee Lo Green-**** You
    Skrillex-Bangarang
    MIA-Paper Planes, Bad Girls
    Eminem-Marshal Mathers LP2

I'll probably put together a rock playlist in a couple weeks. I just got this computer, so I'm slowly getting it how I want it.
