I picked up this '94 Mitsubishi Delica Spacewagon (L400) last month. It's got the 2.8liter intercooled turbodiesel and has only 62,000 miles on it. It's rear-wheel drive with selectable 4x4 in hi or lo range and locked center diff. Picked it up in Christiansburg, VA, at the same place where I got the Toyota Century this past summer (Duncan Imports). I LOVE me some JDM RHD vehicles.

EDIT: The "MITSUBISHI" lettering was coming off, so I went to the 'net and found a site that allows you to design your own decals, and even domed letters, if you like. I think it turned out pretty well. I also added the Kenwood stereo and backup camera. I use the Garmin as a heads-up unit to display speed in MPH and trip odo in miles.

Those Duncan Imports cars are amazing. So many good cars we have been devoid of coming in now, I love it. Nice wagon!!

I would really like to get my wife a nice Nissan Figaro . . .

Those are pretty cool, I saw them on Comedians in Cars getting coffee with Jerry Seinfeld.
Would love a two door landcruiser or a Mazda cosmo. Really anything from the Japanese bubble era, and that’s all that Duncan really seems to bringing in due to the 25 year import rule.

If it's over 25 years old, and you buy it from Duncan, you get a valid Virginia title when you buy the vehicle. When you get it back here to Texas (whether you had it shipped or drove it), you just go get it inspected, then go to the tax assessor/collector's office to transfer the title, pay the sales tax, and register the bad boy. Vehicles that are >25yrs old are exempt from EPA and NHTSA. California would give you difficulty, but not Texas.

That thing is awesome! You should bring it to Radwood next month.

Mr. Duncan only began importing JDM vehicles in earnest AFTER he began his quest to buy, buy, buy as many Figaros as he could lay his hands upon. The story goes that he fell in love with that vehicle over a decade ago and dreamed of when they would be 25yr-eligible. Along the way, he started examining all the other excellent choices for importation and building his team of contacts at the auctions and with the exporters, while perfecting the whole exercise of legal importation into the US. Some of it was for his own personal collection, but it got so big, they've begun spinning them off and seeing demand grow across the country.

That’s interesting info. I’ve seen a lot of not for sale vehicles on his website from his personal collection, including many Intricately decorated Toyota crown hearses.

Indeed, but most of those hearses are not Crowns, they are built on the Century platform. Here's some pics of same I snapped when my wife and I were there this past summer picking up our Century. Shown are Century, Rolls, and Cadillac in these pics.

EDIT: these funeral service vehicles were of particular interest to my wife and her co-workers as she works in the industry.

Very nice pics, those things are intriguing.

Just saw this 2 door Landcruiser on my way home from work.
Didn’t get a good look at it but I’d wager it also has recently been imported. I love the influx of old Japanese 4x4’s I’ve been seeing lately. There’s also a small turbocharged RHD Mitsubishi 4x4 I’ve spotted on a couple occasions.
