    Did it have good brakes? I've only driven a few, but they've all had terrible mushy brakes. Might just be a Ford thing from that era because I kinda remember my Mustang being the same way.
    Her recollection is that pedal feel was firm and the braking action was quite strong.

    Why? Best car I ever owned was a 1992 Maxima.
    That thing just never aged. Rode great. Handled like a dream and would flat haul ass.
    One of our best was a 1987 Maxima. Absolutely great car. Fast and comfortable.
