I would gather a guess, that all of us here are gun owners of some sort, or why would we be here??
No matter your political or religious beliefs, the current state of affairs in our country is at an all time low with discourse in our nation. Is it as bad as it was in 1863 prior to the civil war? Was it as bad as it was in 1775/6 when we told England to GTFO? Maybe. That’s all a matter of opinion.
But in the next 4 years, gun rights are only going to get worse, not better. We might have a few wins in the next 4 years with a few current cases in our court systems. But unless a few of those turn into major wins at the Supreme Court Level, things are soon to take a big dive.
So I ask, what is your line in the sand? When will enough be enough and you will put your lives on the the line to stop the tyranny? This is a rhetorical question. Meant for you to think about for yourself. You don’t have to reveal your answer here in this thread.
For each of us, for each individual gun owner out there that answer will be different. There will be some that will gladly give up their guns and walk away even if they repeal the 2A and ban all guns and come door to door to confiscate them. There will be many more of us who won’t, because they will have crossed that line long before that happens.
There is a point where I will say enough is enough, and will be willing to join forces and put my life on the line for civil war / revolution. My great great great grandfather did in the revolutionary war in 1776. My great great grandfather did in the Texas Revolution in 1835/6 as well as in the Civil war in 1863.
So just think for yourself, where is that line in the sand for you? Or do you even have one?
No sane person wants or desires war, but we have to realize that sometimes it’s the only option if you don’t want to continue being oppressed.
Remember this above all else. Those who wish to oppress, will do so, and continue to do so until those who are being oppressed finally fight back. Remember why our founding fathers wrote the 2A in the first place!
