Do I have to pick? I have 4 AR15s and 2 1911s (looking for a good price on a SS SA TRP). My primary go-to carry gun is a custom Kimber 1911 - kimber frame and pistol w/ aftermarket everything else.
My take is fairly simple: I have 5 1911's and no AR15's. All my rifles are bolt action. I shot my first 1911 and had to have some. Shot an AR and stayed with the bolts. Just like a Remington 1100, I hear the bolt and spring rattling around and it distracts my shooting. A 1911 is both fun to shoot and a serious weapon any way you look at it. Surely, an AR is too, but I'd rather shoot my 1911.
Yeppirs - reloading is definitely the answer! Bunch of us gettin' together tomorrow for a "fun shoot" - ah'm takin' 1500 rounds w/me just in case. No WAY I could afford to do that with factory loaded stuff!
