Another beautiful day at the range shooting with @Fishin4guns and his Mrs. (both very good shots, btw).......fun!

We had a great time as well. That was the wife's first time getting to shoot steel targets. She likes the balance, she likes focusing on accuracy with the paper targets and then taking a break from trying to get tiny groups and just blasting away, having fun with the steel.

I haven't been to the range in a couple of years...luckily folks keep having TGT get-togethers, so my ammo supply is kept desperately low that way instead.

A friend's from Nebraska TAC 20 built on a Remington 700 action....he uses it for prairie dogs...(.223 necked down to .20...40 gr. bullet @ 4100 fps)

Shot my Bushmaster DCM target rifle......about 14 lbs with included lead weight in the buttstock........hardly any perceivable recoil.......great from a bench.....note

Bushmaster made them for DCM competition, is what I think is the reason (it is original to the gun). It's been over 20 years since I shot a DCM Match....so I don't remember......

Curious why he went that route vs getting into 22-250 with a 40gr bullet and commercial loads running 4150+fps. Slower throat erosion?

Went this past Saturday and wife and I going for her once a month trip Friday, I got some new 45acp loads to try out.
