People who sympathize with your cause wont want anything to do with you after a display like that. You're right, T2 - the protesters went way over the line. Cursing gains nothing - other than to weaken your argument. At the point the officers came to take them into custody, submit and wait for your day in court. You'll gain NOTHING by trying to provoke officers that will do "your side" any good.
I may have mis-spoke. There was a guy named "American Patriot" in the comment section. I though he was affiliated with the website.
Several in the video could have gone for interfering or disorderly conduct. No gun owner I know would want to be represented by such a group of out of control "protesters". Another case of "advocates" being the worst enemy of the 2A.
Before its over we will have legislation banning OC of long guns thanks to morons like these.
Although I might play along to meat that chick in the red shirt...
Not trying to be an antagonist, but you started a thread titled "Troopers seem to have violated some rights" without actually watching it first to see if they actually had?And just so I feel better about this, I havent gotten thru the video yet...just looked like worthy of a peek..
Don't know, that part wasn't on the vid. From the behavior of that group it could have been a wide variety of things. The guy with the 1898 pistol seems to have actually got arrested for trsapassing after refusing to move for the police car to leave. Had nothing to do with the gun. That was some of the worst examples of seeking out a confrontation I have seen. Looked more like an "Occupy" event than a pro gun rally. That hurt my head. Can someone 'splain to what they were getting carted off for, before they started sitting down in front of the vehicles?
The best one was that woman screaming, You have to read them their Miranda rights before you arrest em...Don't know, that part wasn't on the vid. Some of the "lynch mob lawyers" in the crowd probably want to do a bit more studying before they scream out their legal opinions in the future, lest they put their ignorance on display again.
She watches too much Law and Order. How about the crowd demanding to know why they were being arrested, as if the Troopers have to answer questions from an angry mob. IMO the Troopers let those people WAY too close to them while they were doing their job.The best one was that woman screaming, You have to read them their Miranda rights before you arrest em...
Hard to help people who are acting like petulant children look good. Only ones making it look bad are the ones who acted the fool at the Capitol.Saw this on the local news this evening and knew this would be a topic....
The way handled themselves in Corpus a few weeks ago seemed fine.....
I'm not a supporter of wearing "replica" revolvers to try and prove a point.....The press the local news are giving is negative, so not helpful.....
jmho...
The funniest part was the woman cussing in spanish. She watches too much Law and Order.
