Regular cop cars should look like cop cars SO WE CAN FIND THEM when we need them. NARC and other divisions needing stealthy vehicles are another story.

While I HATE much of what HS does, their recommendation of returning to and standardizing of "Black-and-White" police cruisers is a good one... so WE CAN FIND THEM when we need them.

Be citizens and obey the law, and you'll have no trouble with the police. Act like a jackass, and expected them to pay attention to you!

In other words, "Do as you're told, question nothing. We are the government and we are here to help. "

Perhaps the government thinks they have achieved Jedi status.... "These are not the patrol cars you are looking for..."

(Or Sith status, depending on your point of view)

The Feds need to know who to ignore first. Who to shoot first if they ignore the Feds. Militarize then line them up.

My confusion is the heavily tinted windows on most squad cars.

So...heavily tinted windows are TOO DANGEROUS for people to have on their cars because drivers cannot see out of them clearly enough to be safe on the road. Yet...squad cars tend to be tinted limo dark...

Gives new meaning to the term "...nothing to see here..."

    That place east of Waco....
Our local PD has a dark blue Dodge Magnum with dark blue PD logo. I call it the "stealth bomber"

Of course, being in a small town, everyone knows what it is....so the stealth thing is pretty worthless....

I've always thought that was strange too. Around here though, it seems they only ticket you with that if they already have you pulled over for something else and are ticketing you for that issue as well.

The mustang and camaro cop cars are the most effective. I speed all the time when alone in my personal vehicles and I accept the fact that I am breaking the law and if I get caught I get a ticket. You gotta pay to play. I have actually congratulated cops on having a good hiding spot and busting me.

If you need a cop, call 911. Going around trying to find one is a ridiculous notion.

What if you just need directions?

And yes, I've seen cops and though "I bet he knows how to get there".

I'm not anti cop (check my post history), but I do miss the days of "peace officers" vs "law enforcement".

Still, car colors is not a big deal. The blended letters are to catch speeders. It's obvious and dark colors tend to be less noticeable anyways. Of all my nagging issues I might find with modern "law enforcers", car colors hasn't mad the list.

I love our local PD and Sheriff squad cars... Notice the forward charging position Texas flag on the rear quarter panel.

Our PD has been using Tahoe's for years now. about 90% of the squad cars I see are tahoes, not many crown vics in the fleet...
