Not all hope is lost. It's important to stay and fight until the bitter end.

The same cannot be said for CA. I'd tell them to abandon ship, but the majority of those ass clowns need to lie in the bed they've made.

For sure. Too bad it looks like Texas will be blue, sooner or later. Hope I'm dead by then.

Yep. Texas counters a lot of Califunny's BS with our electorals and congressional seats. If that changes, this nation and individual liberty are doomed. Progressivism, which is just another name for socialism, will win. What happens if Texas falls was the subject of one of Reagan's better speeches; we'll sentence our children to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Y'all think TX can really be flipped? Are the Califs coming there of the socialist variety or are they conservative-minded folks?

Not only that it can but it WILL, or at least that's what I believe. A lot of people here don't agree with me, but the window for peaceful change is closing rapidly and people just aren't giving a shit. We have Californians coming from both sides of the spectrum. I've met many myself. The thing is, a lot of dumbacrats and liberal minded CA residents are moving here with that state of mind intact because they think that it can work, but just went wrong somehow in CA. So, they think they can try the same BS here, and somehow, it will turn out better, when really it will always be the same outcome. Then, a lot of californians that wanted no part in the foolishness going on in CA come here and bring their apathy with them. Just because a lot of conservatives come, doesn't mean they will actually do anything to help. One reason why it's so bad there, is because the good people ALLOW crap to happen. They don't get off their asses. Everyone's got an excuse.

Aside from that, there is already a large pollution of apathetic conservatives and people who just don't care. Another thing is people come from the east coast, to colleges here in Texas, and end up living here. I was just reading an article about a complete lack of conservative speakers at good colleges. So, we have to hope that free thinking students, don't fall into the liberal BS that is being taught. All of this ON TOP of the blue that is spreading within Texas natives and there is a campaign to turn this state blue, so we are screwed in my eyes.

These are just SOME of the things a lot of people don't consider when they think about our state and it's overall political stance at the level of the every day people. Factor in some of the no brainers and it becomes a very sad situation. If it weren't for a lot of smaller towns and counties in Texas, I believe we'd be blue already. It's scary, but it's coming. Maybe not in the next five years, but I wouldn't be surprised if Texas voted blue in 2020. A lot of the change that needs to happen at the state level, also needs to happen at the federal level and it's just not.

So, imagine it this way... Red is the body and blue is a cancer. D.C. is a major organ that the cancer has a foothold in. If we don't cut the cancer out of the major organ, it WILL spread through out the body and destroy it all over. There's no way to permanently keep it out of a certain part of the body, while it still grows and lives in major parts. Secession would be like cutting out the major organ and hoping the rest of the body can survive. A violent revolution is like the last resort treatment that could destroy the body, as well, but no other treatment worked. We ARE reaching that point. There WILL be a fight. The body WILL be incredibly damaged even IF it survives. This is our current situation. God help us.

P.S. At this point, I take liberalism and a democratic vote PERSONALLY cause it is killing our country and destroying my children's future. So naturally, some of you may take offense to my analogy. Instead of hating me, cause I'm NOT sorry, take a look at what the democratic party is doing to us and ask yourself if you really want to say you had part in that, on your death bed. Not saying you're a bad person, but please educate yourself further. Make up your own mind without mainstream media and taking Obama's word for it. I believe anyone who truly pays attention couldn't possibly be in favor of what's going on. The republican party needs a lot of work too and in fact, has a hand in this mess. At this point, the government needs a complete overhall. We need to unite under one cause. The cause of saving our country. AS PEOPLE. Never mind what party we are loyal to. If things are going bad, it's time to try something els. I'm just babbling on now...

Dallas County Democrats have stated publicly that the intention of the Democratic Party is to turn Texas blue. This has been on the news. I imagine other major cities are going the same route. Most have seen the vid of the lady saying she voted for Obummer for free stuff. This is not isolated. Many Dems are now voting because they feel emboldened and entitled.

I talk to middle of the road people and conservatives. The majority of those don't vote anymore. Their view is why bother? I am one person and there is nothing I can do. It's the defeatist attitude that is allowing the Libtards to win.

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. That's the mindset of Kommieforians and many others moving here.

I could be wrong but I see 2 choices for Texas at this moment:

    1. Republic of Texas or
    2. The Peoples Republic of Amerika

The states are losing the battle for states rights. The federal govt sues the states that try anything that goes against the socialist state.

Exactly. This is an elaboration of part of my point. Thank you for paying attention. My best friend went to law school a moderate and came back a liberal. Thier efforts are strong. What's that saying about when good people fail to act? A lot of peole think that most of this country favores democracy. That's how relaxed republicans are, that it looks like the party is a small minority. I belive it's the vast majority but appears otherwise bacause of what you've stated. We'll reap what we sew.

Forget labels. It all boils down to good people being apathetic and bad folks being on the move.

    Not Texas, yet!
I've spent a lot of months up here studying TX, a lot of months believing and wanting to believe it would be the place I would feel downright happy to call home. But, this turn-TX-blue crap is holding us back from committing to such a move.

Part of the overall problem is the R versus D thing. The D Party, whether or not it was always this way, is the home of Fabian socialists who employ progressive tactics to impose their will on whom they think are "We, the Subjects." But, the R Party is not necessarily the opposite. Too many Rs think the federal government is the answer and needs to get bigger. Too many aspire to be a part of the Ruling Class. Look at the last two R nominees for President. While I'd rather sit and have a beer with Romney than McCain, Romney was the first with Romneycare. And, he had no problem signing a permanent AWB in the state he governed. (Then, he bought a lifetime membership in the NRA when he thought that would benefit him.) Rs and Ds, on too many things, are the same thing.

I liked GWB. He did some things I found disagreeable, but he never struck me as one who thought America was so bad that it needed to be transformed, at least not at the break-neck speed it's being transformed right now. And, I genuinely hoped TX would be leading the way to stop these socialists from advancing too far.

TX does seem to have produced some pretty strong characters to help stop this. Ted Cruz is impressive. So, is Louie Gohmert. And, I'm sure there are more. Glenn Beck moved there. So did The Nuge (I might've mentioned this elsewhere, Ted grew up in my backyard). As well, y'all just put a stop to CSCOPE. And, you never did let common core in. As much as we have to start cutting the federal government to its right size, a lot has to happen locally. How about Agenda 21, is that being addressed? We've heard some about y'all standing up to smart meters, but are there enough of you doing it?

Rick Perry is out inviting anyone interested to move to TX. Unfortunately, he's casting a pretty wide net. I can see happening there what's happened up here where disgruntled massachusetts socialists, tired of living in conditions they created, moved to New Hampshire to only start pushing for the same taxes and regulations they just escaped from. How'd that turn out on Election Day?

To defeat an enemy, you need to know the enemy. That in mind, I spent some time on the Battleground Texas site to see what the enemy is planning. They're enthused. They're fired up. Are TX conservatives enthused and fired up? Part of our problem is that we want to live our lives and be left alone. It's not in our nature to constantly be in someone's face, to nudge them politically. Maybe that's got to change.

I moved from CA 7 years ago. First thing I did when I got here was buy gun with a "Not legal in CA" sticker. With all the laws they are passing hopefully the gun faring will be the ones leaving .

Looks just like the sticker on my xdm case and the case looks familiar too. It is always nice seeing those stickers and knowing I can own that where I live :)

Don't know where you are but this is happening all over the country. CA, NY, IL, NJ and many others have already fallen. This is about fighting it.

ETA: I didn't mean this to be personal. I am just angry about the situation. I got to thinking after I had posted this it may be taken the wrong way. I am one person that doesn't do the socialist thing well.
