Just my opinion but if Texas is going down why just jump ship stand up and fight for our wonderful state don't let them take it over. If they come here put them in their place under our boots. If they agree to follow common logical sene then let them be. (I'm not condoning violence but we can not allow any one to take us over)

Don't know where you are but this is happening all over the country. CA, NY, IL, NJ and many others have already fallen. This is about fighting it.
We're in the People's Republik of Massachusetts where it, too, has happened. The taking down of America is a project that started with Teddy Roosevelt's Progressive Party. They've been putting together this Change America project, brick by brick, policy by policy, for a century. Now they think they've got the socialist football just about over the goal line for the last play of the game and they're really pushing. And, if they succeed, it's game over, America over. I think that's why SOTUS Robert's ruled in favor of Obama's DeathCare plan - he thinks the left has won and he wants to not be in disfavor when Obama's brown shirts start dishing out their punishment.

We do have to fight it. And, maybe this rapidly expanding trilogy of scandals (Benghazi, the IRS, AP/FOX) along with the HHS and a few other breaking stories will help to wake up those who decided to snooze through the last election.

I do want to see that happening in TX, it isn't going to happen here.

ETA: I didn't take it personally.

Yep. Texas counters a lot of Califunny's BS with our electorals and congressional seats. If that changes, this nation and individual liberty are doomed. Progressivism, which is just another name for socialism, will win. What happens if Texas falls was the subject of one of Reagan's better speeches; we'll sentence our children to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Yeah. If you didn't respect Reagan before you should check this out:

I don't doubt that there is a shift to Liberalism where the Government gives us everything that we need and scratches our asses for us. There is an advantage to being old on this score. I'll be dead and gone before all of this takes place. The prospect of Obama, Holder, Feinstein, Biden and Shumer being NORMAL instead of on the lunatic fringe is pretty scary. I'd rather not see it.

Like I said, nowhere to run. This is it. Last stand or last gasp depending on your attitude. We either drive them out and win of we die trying

    Texas going Blue?

I don't know, based on the results of the last election,United States presidential election in Texas, 2012 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, it doesn't appear that Texas is going blue anytime soon. And that was with a very weak republican candidate. Granted, an even worse sitting POTUS (first one in over 70 years to be re-elected with fewer votes than original win), but when you promise to give out free stuff on somebody else's dime a great deal can be forgiven by the leech class no matter where they live.

This is how I feel. More than half the country has been destroyed, I don't what it to happen here.

Damn, where's Clarke when you need him.

It's not really a feeling, it's a fact. Like I pointed out earlier, between electoral votes and congressional seats, if TX joins CA on the dark side...

I thank you for your post, it gives us food for thought.

No, thank you, for THINKING. I talk a lot of crap sometimes. I'm not sure I'd have it in me to leave Texas, but if it went blue, I'd feel very lost and pretty hopeless. Vaquero lit a fire in the kindling that is my passion, whit his, "I ain't moving! I ain't changing!" (reminds me of Merle's last line on The Walking Dead) Not sure I could either and I'm willing to fight, and die fighting, if it came to that. SO thanks to you too Vaq. Prorkba, I hope I didn't ruin your considering moving to this FANTASTIC state. If anything, we can use a person like you to help offset the surge of entitled feeling, lazy, careless people who want to run everyone else's lives, that seem to be on a mission to rot this state. We welcome you.

We thank you for your comments, we are very humbled.

We've had to be out and are just getting back to this, so, I'm doing a little catch-up here.

The great state of Texas is still Number 1 on our list of places to move to. The spirit of liberty there seems to be more than anywhere else. I mentioned my concerns because of a couple of reasons. I won't speak for my wife, but can say that I'm no spring chicken. How many more moves are left in me is starting to get numbered. Though, I can still keep up with those 15 years younger, I must admit they aren't spring chickens, either.

I believe Texas will be the last stand. I see many other states falling already for what I can only believe are socialist policies. We have no desire to move to such places. As many here have said, "I won't live in a blue state."

Please don't get me wrong as I am not saying Texas is becoming blue. What I'm saying is I think Texas has a huge target on its back. And, while I am certainly willing to come stand shoulder-to-shoulder with y'all to repel this evil, I have to also be very careful with whatever environment I put my now-disabled wife in.

That's partially why this thread was of interest to us. Regarding the original post, I must say, about Californians, I do know some who are conservative. They've said that Texas is the place they'd head to next. On the other hand, any progressive socialists that I know of in California probably wouldn't give Texas a thought. But, I guess as we all know, there are no guarantees.

Vigilance will be key. Battleground Texas was already mentioned. Another group, a sister group of theirs is the Lone Star Project. It's like they're coming from all directions now.

As proponents of the Constitution, no one would deny anyone the right to speak what they think or feel. But, when socialist words are put into action, well, say what you want, but keep your hands out of my pockets and stop telling me what I can do, where I can go, what I can buy, and how I can use what I already have.

if texas ever goes blue. im moving to Louisiana lmao
I grew up in Louisiana... screw that mess.

If Texas goes blue I might head for Alaska. Then again I might just start fire bombing any cars with a Hillary or Obama sicker :p

Y'all think TX can really be flipped?
    absolutly... see:

On the other hand, any progressive socialists that I know of in California probably wouldn't give Texas a thought.
People will go where the jobs are regardless of ideology. Besides, progressives will find themselves quite at home in Austin, San Antonio, or Houston.
