    I ordered all the individual parts yesterday to build me a dedicated upper... Everything except the magazines.

    I built my oldest a dedicated .22LR with CMMG upper. It’s been great for over a decade. I have heard that the newer Black Dog Machine mags aren’t as reliable as the older ones.

    Anyone have an update on the BDM magazines?
    "AR15.22 Sonic Weld" verses their new "V208 AR15.22".

    "AR15.22 Sonic Weld" verses their new "V208 AR15.22".
    So two of them look like these but are 25 rounds

    The other four are XForce with the same red follower are red base plate insert.

    Zero issues with any of them.

    22lr uses a 1:16 twist while the common 5.56 barrel uses 1:7. A conversion kit is good for plinking, but don't expect any decent accuracy past 50 yards. It's a fun way to shoot and not break the bank, so go with whatever fits your needs.
