Most Expensive Breakfast Ever

Back in April Mrs. Hoji wanted chickens. So, several thousand dollars later we have 8 chickens raised from one week olds. supposedly sexed and one rooster and 7 hens.
They were wrong. There are 2 roosters :/

They started laying last week while I was out of town and first 3 eggs were consumed by Mrs.Hoji. Got home yesterday and there were two eggs in boxes.

Now time for fried over hard eggs. ( Much to the disappoint of war dogs)

Possibly the most expensive breakfast I have ever eaten, and it was awesome. Figured the Spartan breakfast deserved a Spartan knife in pic

While I agree with the sentiment , this “flock zero” are all pets that produce breakfast food. None will be killed. We are building an addition to the enclosure to give ER ( extra Rooster) his own harem.

My parents raised a calf for the meat. When it came time they couldn't kill Lindy. They sold it to a farmer and used the money to buy meat.

Eh.. I never knew that. Never raised chickens and wasnt fortunate enough to live in the country where I could. Always thought there had to be a rooster.. I do think it would be nice to be able to raise them though..
