    1. Use paragraphs and punctuation, FFS!

    2. Put the price (with the '$' sign) in the first paragraph! I'd like to know how much you want without scrolling three screens down and scanning for some numerical value.

    3. Stop with all the requirements (BOS, LTC, affirmations, et al.). You are NOT an agent of the state. Or ARE you?!

    4. You CAN legally ship a long gun or handgun to another Texas resident without the services of an FFL. Educate yourself on the applicable laws.

4a. If you're selling something I want and won't ship, move to within 100 miles of San Antonio! :D

    5. Crop your photos; no one wants to see your feet/shoes/slippers.

Hey chill please, seller can set any requirements, buyer can choose to comply or not buy,=FedEx USPS and UPS will NOT ship firearms without involving a FFL / C&R license in state or out of state (check each website) maybe other shipping companies will. I won't move to sell anything and if it is too large or cumbersome to ship, then come and take it;) or do not buy it!
If my paras and punctuation offend you and communication suffers from those errors then , yes I should be more accurate.
I like the $ amount and location in the title. But I read the whole ad anyway.
Guilty! Mea Culpa! I checked some of my old gun sale pics and found two with shoe toes , kinda embarrassing for a Marine to openly display a poor spit shine on my loafers;)

FedEx, UPS, and USPS all accept firearms from non-licensees (USPS will not accept handguns from non-licensees). I have done it for over forty years. You must use a customer counter at a UPS- or FedEx-owned office, not a franchisee. Follow the rules and they'll take it.

I don't actually expect anyone to move just to sell me a gun FTF...but it would be nice. :)

Seller can set any requirements, but unreasonable and intrusive ones will lessen the likelihood of a sale; then we're ALL stuck with their daily bumps to the top for weeks. :deadhorse:

I'm not offended by 'stream of consciousness' ads, I just dislike reading them.

Paragraphs? Spelling? Do we need a grammar nazi?

I have to agree. It drives me crazy to have to re-read a post 3 times to find out the price or other basic info.

Selling something? Keep your post simple, but give sufficient information to allow the reader to understand what you are selling and what you want in terms of price or trades.

Love my feet or don't buy my gun

And part of the deal is reading the description, where information that may be relevant to the transaction may be found before coming to the price.

You could always take a nice drive and make a day out of a gun purchase, if you're willing to meet half way. Or don't buy a gun from a guy in El Paso or Dallas. Some of us just don't want to dick around with shipping but might welcome a road trip.

Did I mention spelling? No. A lot of folks use their mobile phone and typing errors are understandable.

Paragraphs break up the text, making it easier to read the ad. Everyone on this thread has used them, so apparently none of you are part of the problem. :peace:

I read the ads (even the bad ones) and it's no fun when someone buries the price seventy or so words in, without a '$' sign to key on, followed by another twenty or thirty words. Of course, if you're asking $1000 for a run-of-the-mill $500 gun, you have a good reason to bury the price.

Again all three websites say an FFL form is required, either from or to. Yes an unlicensed guy can send but only with a signed FFL included. Yes individual shipping offices use different criteria, I just listed the Official Company Policy for those 3.
You are absolutely correct about extra requirements reducing the prospective buyer pool.
Agree on the bumps and I do not use them.
Love the Dead Horse emoji , have not seen that;)
I have driven 125 miles to meet buyers twice this year and it worked well

I just want sellers to quit justifying an inflated price by telling me something is banned, will be banned, or is hard to find.

You want $1 a round for your garbage Russian ammo? Go ahead and list it.

I know why you ask that price.

(Psst it's not because it's hard to find or banned. It's because you want to make a buck. It's called Capitalism and I fully support your right to be a douchebag.)

    Ah, man, cute pup!

Don't you think people should clean up their photos in ads?

Eh, if the photo shows what needs shown, whatever in the background is immaterial, unless of course you're showing off your porn collection, fleshlight collection, My Little Pony collection, or your super secret competition winning barbecue recipe (in which case, please zoom in on that, to hell with whatever it is you're trying to sell)

To be honest, I'd be interested in the BBQ recipe!

If you see any of my ads, and if you don't like any of them or my terms, don't bother with them. It's as simple as that and I certainly do not need a frigging primer from you on how to do it. As for you telling me (and everyone else) how to write up ads and crop my photos, to satisfy you, not a chance I am going to crop out my socks.
