Uh, crossed wires, I think. Let me re-cap.May I quote?
In post #117, you quoted TXI (from post #34) who said:
to which you replied:I imagine a woman who flys off of the handle at everything, uses anger and rage as manipulation, etc. Probably witholds affection and sex as a tool as well.
My commentThose of us who have good mamas, sisters, and have daughters should think twice before describing women in such a hateful way.
was an agreement with TXI, not Flash. TXI was the "he" in my sentence.I don't think he was saying they're all like that, just that some can be. In that, I'd have to agree with him.
I think TXI is right that there are women with mental issues who can do all sorts of awful, manipulative things. I think Flash is wrong to say ALL women are like that just under the surface.
In short, I was agreeing with TXI and wondering why you disagreed with him so strongly.
As far as I can tell, we're both in the same frame of mind where Flash's attitude is concerned; he's overstating things, employing demonstrably untrue absolutes when describing human behavior.
Clearer? Or have I just muddied the waters even more?
