You are half right imo on that. IMO vaping is more satisfying than smoking in the fact that you can cloud up a room rather quickly with a nice rebuildable. Still will probably never nail down some finer tobacco flavors though which is definitely it's shortcoming (probably why I generally don't mess with tobacco flavors).

You can still join in the thread if you can find yourself a good single malt. I'll even forgive you if you take the baby step to blended Scotch with something like Johnny Walker, it's still tasty stuff but still can't hold a candle to a real single malt.

    Way out here
Let's keep the focus of the thread on scotch whisky. Thanks. There are post-whore threads for people who like to talk too much.

Appreciate the responses so far. And pictures are always fun. I think I will try a Glenlivet or Glenfiddich next.

Sorry bout that, been on a bit of a tear tonight. Guess I need to pour another glass and chill out :) I highly recommend Glenlivet. If you can find any 25 year I very highly recommend it, it will knock your socks off (so will the price tag but man it's worth it). Still the best drink I've ever had in my life (had it at a bar in Flagstaff very near my 25th birthday).

I tell ya what, the best i ever had, was a VERY small glass of Glenmorangie Pride that a buddy got unipened at an eatate sale. Now that was delicious.

And an easy way to distinguish a whisky.... Whisky is real. Whiskey is American.

There is some great Whisky distilled in Canada. Commonly called Rye Whisky, it is usually distilled from corn mash then blended with various amounts of Rye Whisky. Canadian Whisky is world renowned as one of smoothest Whiskies distilled.

IF, and that means IF, I happen to have a decent bit of cash to spare, I'll stop in for what I consider to be the best blended scotch on the market. Johnny Walker Blue for me if you will please.

BTW Tejano Scott.....how dare you put that wonderful single malt on the rocks  Neat, sometimes with a splash of water, is the only way to go.

I drink neat sometimes too. But I am absolutely addicted to the scotch flavored ice. For me it's the best part. I drink fairly quick (or pour myself smaller amounts) to avoid too much melt. Then I swirl it around to get the ice good and coated. Then it's like a scotch flavored icee! Best dessert ever. Can't pull it off too well with the massive cubes they serve at most bars. So there I'll just have it neat.

Also when you smoke a ton of cigars in a night, the scotch flavored ice is a very soothing complement. Try it. Just use medium to small ice. More like the bag ice from the corner store or corner store drink machine type ice.
