I think this is a plan to get another demoncrat in the white house in 2016. By forcing the repubs to pass something that libs and la raza won't like, making them (repubs) a target in the next election even if O vetoes it. It is political gamesmanship by the demons with no real chance of bounce back against them. Brilliant move.

I keep hearing that, but honestly, I don't think it will be as important as WHO is going to be the candidate for the Republican Party in 2016.

Anyone who is pro immigration to the point where amnesty sounds like a good idea was never going to vote for a Repub anyway. I believe it is an issue the majority of voters have already made up their minds on, either way, and even if the R 's went ahead and did nothing to change Barry's edict, it's not likely that many voters would change who they vote for traditionally based soley on this issue.

Any votes the R's may lose by passing a REAL immigration bill that actually would do something positive for this country wouldn't be enough to decide the winner in the election, in my opinion.

Truly, the biggest obstacle we have is ourselves and actually getting out to vote. And that is where a worthy candidate makes a difference rather then a Romney type blow hard that even most of their own party despises and therefore won't vote for.

I completely agree 100%. It was a day after the elections that all talk started to corner the Republicans. Democrats have always controlled knee jerk emotion from 60% of the public. We need play this like a delicate chess game, but with cunning passive aggression like the President. We need to find a way to corner his A$$, with no way out.

Shut the government down for as long as it takes. Make it hurt. Let the people clamor for their "savior" to rescue them from the evil white rich republicans.

Force BHO to make more undeniably unconstitutional moves then reopen the government and impeach him. Use his own arrogance and ego against him.

I agree. In two years, with the 15 minute memories people have, most undecided voters won't even factor it in to their vote, no matter how much they bring it up at the time.

Was it the "land owners only" idea?
I wasn't promoting that but it was part of the convo. Producers and consumers shouldn't have the same level of say. I know people scream "3/5ths compromise" but we have to do something. Those willingly living off gov forever are breading faster than the producers.

From 30,000 ft its easy to see. Socialist economy which allows big companies to still make their $. Massive welfare and handouts to the hoards and increasing restrictions on those who dont want to go along with "progress".

Absolutely no doubt this is a trap for the Republicans to walk into. And from what I saw last night, many are falling for it.

IMO, they should do nothing. In fact, agree with it and take credit. Then win 2016 and repeal it. Use the registration lists to find and deport the illegals.

Thats a plan. Problem is...the longer this goes on, the more normal and harder to reverse it will be.

Exactly. Win '16 and go ask for the list with name address and place of employment. That's 5 million easy deportations.

It only requires a single man with the balls to take the list and ship ALL of them back.
The precadent had been set. rule by pen and dare congress to defy or impeach you.

I personally think they ought to change the narrative to economic growth and deny his immigration narrative. Focus on Americans and growth and turn a cold shoulder to his aggressive executive move. Appeal to Americans and their wallets, don't fall in to the trap that they control. Control the narrative=control the future. Lead with positive American concerns, not emotional outside influences. Change the narrative and control it, make him respond to that!

The fact is that we don't enforce current laws, so adding new ones is negligent. It's pointless, the Senate bill is just modern day amnesty unless we really address illegal immigration at the enforcement level. Of course there would have to be someone in power to do that, that has character.

Senator Cruz proposed a quite cunning program. Before the end of the year, and the current budget expiration, go ahead and pass a very short term funding bill to keep the government running. Then, in January when the Republicans take over the Senate, start passing bills to fund individual government departments, starting first with supporting the military. Then move on to other, single-issues until it comes to DHS. NO funding bills for them. Do the same for EVERY 3-letter bunch in Washington. Pick the necessary ones, fund them and for any that might even have a remote connection to anything Obuttfuck wants, don't fund it.

Other Republicans have made their big speeches about "the power of the purse" but I haven't head diddly squat from them as to what they'd do to USE that power. Senator Cruz has proposed the EXACT thing the Republicans need to do. Forget all this "impeachment" shit. That's a political dead end, not to mention political suicide, and will do nothing but end up having the Race Card pulled on the Republican party.

    To All,

I don't know about the rest of you but I trust NOTHING said/claimed by RESIDENT ZERO.

I think that we ought to send him on a round the world golfing trip until 21JAN17, as it would be cheaper.

    yours, satx

My take on this is it's a petulant temper tantrum because of the recent elections. He could have done amnesty and a bunch of other things long ago, but he didn't. I don't think he ever wanted to do this because his union sugar daddies are against it. The only reason he did this was to piss off republicans.

Mitch Mcconnell said there will be no shutdown on his watch. Did you notice that no teapulican or republitarian got a leadership role in the new congress? Hurray for status quo!

Senator Cruz proposed a quite cunning program.
That idea is dead with Mcconnell and Boehner at the helm.

    We need less people voting.
I agree. We need zero people voting. We've outgrown government.
