Senator Cruz proposed a quite cunning program. Before the end of the year, and the current budget expiration, go ahead and pass a very short term funding bill to keep the government running. Then, in January when the Republicans take over the Senate, start passing bills to fund individual government departments, starting first with supporting the military. Then move on to other, single-issues until it comes to DHS. NO funding bills for them. Do the same for EVERY 3-letter bunch in Washington. Pick the necessary ones, fund them and for any that might even have a remote connection to anything Obutt$#@! wants, don't fund it.

Other Republicans have made their big speeches about "the power of the purse" but I haven't head diddly squat from them as to what they'd do to USE that power. Senator Cruz has proposed the EXACT thing the Republicans need to do. Forget all this "impeachment" shit. That's a political dead end, not to mention political suicide, and will do nothing but end up having the Race Card pulled on the Republican party.
Agreed. Shut it down. Reopen the constitutuonal parts.

He needs to be impeached. Who cares about the political consequences. They have to do what is right, not politically expedient. These Republicans always want to kick the can down the future, while living in hog heaven, rather than do what they were put there to do, stop Obama and hold him accountable. He is a criminal, and that is that. He is dangerous and destroying the country. You have to stop someone like that. Ask Brutus and Cassius.

I think it is about time to take our chances with a president Biden about now.

President Clinton gives you a high five as she signs a Immigration Bill giving amnesty to all on 01/20/2017.

She would have to be elected first. Trying to impeach Obama doesn't benefit her, don't believe the lies of neocons like Krauthammer.

If the Republicans impeach Obama, it will be a Democratic landslide in 2016.

The Obama problem should be solved at the Ballot Box. We are 2/3 of the way there. No need to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

Crazy is wasting time on impeachment which does nothing to solve the problem. Even if he is impeached, even if he is removed from office, the Immigration Order stays in place until a Republican President repeals it.

The unwashed masses from their contemporary third world ended that empire after it rotted from within due to immorality and decadence.
That was a contributing factor, but not the sole cause. Debasing the currency, welfare programs, over extended imperialism, political corruption and cronyism, bureaucratic regulation... All rather familiar contributing factors. If I had to sum it up into one "cause", I would say they just got too big.

Of course. This all sounds familiar. Did they invade countries that didn't need invading too? Ugh

I think one of the most important things to remember about Rome was that after Caesar crossed the Rubicon there was no going back, assassination or not. The Republic had no internal mechanism for reversing a tyrannical overthrow from within. Just civil wars and endless dictators. How many times has Obama "crossed the Rubicon"? We have these internal mechanisms yet everyone is afraid to use them.

Impeachment would not insure a victory for Hillary what will is doing nothing and the GOP base will stay home as they did in the two previous presidential elections. I would suggest to all do not be miss lead by media 99% of who want a progressive president, like Jeb Bush or Hillary.

I second that! The problem is a lot deeper than this. What has happened over the years is that Congress has abdicated its authorities to the various agencies that were never mentioned in the constitution. The various agencies were allowed to interpret various laws passed by Congress on their own with little to no ramifications for their actions. In this case the DHS was allowed or influenced by the Executive Branch to change their priority in regards to deportation.

Congress continues to shirk their duties and responsibilities as outlined in the United States Constitution. In this most recent case, Congress has allowed the executive branch to usurp their authority. The current President is not the only President that has done this with little to no ramifications or actions from Congress or Judicial branch.

The founding fathers deliberately set up three branches of equal but separate branches of government in order to prevent what we are seeing happening today and in our most recent history. The judicial systems are being heavily influenced and often rewrite the laws based on personal views versus interpreting the laws written by Congress and State Governments for its constitutional legality. The House of Representatives was established as the voice of the people, while the Senate was established to work for the interests of the states.

The long story short is that we have already crossed the Rubicon as we continue to slide toward a form of tyranny. After all Adolf Hitler was elected by popular vote. It should also be remembered that the only thing that a government that can give you that it does not take from someone else is “Freedom!”

We only have to look at the most tyrannical presidents in U.S. history, Lincoln and FDR, who fortunately died while in office before they could do more damage to the country, to see how these internal mechanisms have worked and not worked in the past. The Supreme Court actually stepped up during the Roosevelt administration and restricted executive power and struck down many parts of the New Deal. Lincoln, a victim of tyrannicide, disobeyed the Supreme Court's order to restore Habeas Corpus. After Lincoln's death the court overturned a lot of the convictions of dissenters during that period, Congress passed the Habeas Corpus Act and the Posse Comitatus Act as well. But it pretty much took his assassination to reverse what he had done.

I was reading about the Katyn Massacre today. The Soviet NKVD killed over 20,000 Polish military officers and civilians mostly from the landed classes and intelligentsia near the Katyn forest in Russia in 1940.

Anyways, when the Germans were moving East, they got wind of these mass graves in 1942/1943 and uncovered what happened there. They invited the Red Cross to come look at these Soviet atrocities and even had British and American officers (POWs) come to see the sites.

Goebbels was completely thrilled, knowing this would be a huge propaganda victory against international socialism "for weeks to come" as he put it.

BHO trampled our constitution on Thursday (again) and it's already off the front pages! To those who question anyone who brings up Hitler/WW2 in a debate, they don't understand history.

We are in a wildly dangerous situation where the rule of law doesn't matter (yet the institutions remain), most of the population is asleep (but they can tell you all the NFL scores from today) and the major companies and media are hauling water for the socialists so long as they can still profit. The similarities to 1930's NAZI Germany are underrated, not overrated. I genuinely am concerned about the path that we are heading down, not just for my people but for those who may come to be blamed for all this when it comes off the rails.

Unrestricted immigration is the way to destroy communities and a country.
Go to my home country, Belgium. 10% of people there are imported muslims, and they destroyed our cities.
I'd like to have a list of all the criminal immigrants, round them up and send them back. the others have 6 months to prove they know at least one of our languages and find a job. If not: back to sender.

What would be your population growth without immigration? Negative im sure.
