45s aren't a DIY solution. There's really only two options for uppers. 45 requires a DI upper instead of a blow back.

Brethren Armament makes nice MP5 clones for a little less than 3k FYI

$2950 for the pistol version. Add stock, engraving, and SBR tax stamp and you're at where I'm quoting. I've checked out Bretheren in the past. I have approx $1600 in this build excluding the stamps, optics, and can. That's a difference of approximately $1350.

That's what I was thinking, but QC10 lowers only work with Glock small frame mags 9mm/40/357sig/45gap/etc.

I have gave a passing thought buying a DOE 9 mm upper for my M-16. Mainly because they are rare to come by.

The guy I bought my M-16 from has a 9 mm upper not DOE) & offered it up to me to play with @ a machine gun shoot. I had my MP5K & let him shoot it. He then realized his conversion aint shit. He ended up buying an Uzi and no longer even breaks out the 9 mm upper

I can't hate on the mp5. It's literally a dream gun for me, I just can't justify spending $30k+ for a full auto one at the moment. Maybe one of these days...

Hell I cant even imaginr spending 12K on an M16 or LL. The thrill of wasting rounds wears off so quick.

Im interested to hear how you like your AR9. Theyre all the rage these days. I appreciate all you AR9 guys because it got SLR to make a short handguard that I needed for my 6" 300blk build.
