Just stating the facts on Christendom for those who are unfamiliar. Not trying to degrade anyone. We are all Gods children and we must all accept the path he lays out for us.

Sometimes His asks of us aren't easy.

ETA: we all have different crosses to carry.

Okay, but let's say someone identifies as a homosexual and Christian. Let's say they reconcile that with themselves and a church that is in a Christian denomination. What about their right to a Christian marriage?

"Identifying" as Christian doesn't make you Christian.

Which, I've noticed, is something that a surprising number of so-called "Christian" folks have trouble with. Granted it's been a few years since I've picked up a Bible, but I seem to recall that passing judgement on your fellow man is a fairly severe sin, or at the very least not the "Christian" thing to do. Hell, Jesus himself hung out with the scum of society rather than condemning them (which is what I see a whole shitload of in threads like this, on both sides).

So much wasted energy in these threads.

Don't like what it's doing to the forum.

I can't speak for everyone but I don't see judgement. I see people being honest and explaining the Christian view. Just because we don't agree with their lives does not mean we are damning them to hell or hate them. God said it is wrong so it's wrong. Nothing will change that so our beliefs won't change either. Christians aren't perfect because people aren't perfect. That's why we are thankful to have God's grace and forgiveness.

Packing that fudge is the Christian thing to to in the gay church lol. They baptize you in ky jelly.

It's interesting that that's the approach you take. Am I to assume from this that you're accepting of homosexuality as long as it's lesbians? Is it only lesbians if they're cute?

After Jesus saved the adulterous woman from stoning he told her to sin no more. He didn't say she should do whatever feels right to her.

Telling people what Christianity is and is not is not passing judgment on them.

    It does under the law.

    Not Gods law.

Same here. This debate started when Christian churches started ordaining openly gay ministers (they'd obviously ordained closeted gay ministers for quite a while).

The Church of Christ folks think non CoC people are going to hell. Baptists think Mormons are going to hell. Everyone is right and everyone else is wrong.

Same thing here... But it doesn't change the fact that there are homosexuals who wanted to be legally married AND had ordained ministers in churches who would have done it were it not prohibited by the GOVERNMENT, not religion. All this ruling did was remove a government injustice and leave it to the churches to decide who to marry, and the states to allow anyone else to marry outside the church, too, and all of them be legal under the eyes of the law.

Nope. I'm accepting of it no matter what. As long as it's not in my view I don't care what you do. Have at it. If you've read my posts in the past you'd know I think being able to marry whoever you want is a constitutional right. I'm glad the Supreme Court made the right decision. Hopefully we can move on to more pressing issues like legalizing marijuana. :-)

I really feel for people with those feelings. It can't be easy, and many Christians just condemn them rather than speaking to a path the may be intended for them.

That path just does not include gay marriage or gay sex if they want to be Christian.

If they want some quasi-Christian-in-name-only cult that does nice things that's their choice. Not passing judgment; I mean they have to own that decision when they die.

Ramadan Kareem. Do you know many Muslims?

I'd love to meet some. Especially the ones who would openly condemn the acts of ISIS who crucify people for not being "muslim enough" and the Muslims like those who put a death contract out on Pam Gellar and shoot up an even in Garland.
I'm waiting for them to come out so I can get to know them, but all I hear is crickets
