Big dogs are nicer and smarter when compared to toy (cat) dogs. They play and slobber and normally never hurt anyone because they know what they're capable of. A bitch ass weiner dog might only bite to draw blood because they don't understand.
Disclaimer- my family used to breed bull dogs and they were cool. I pretty much hate dogs now because I see no upside of a dog in my life from now on.

Dang man. There are no bad dogs just bad owners. Dogs are not easy but the best part of our lives. Never see one fucking us over for anything or going all ChrisX Libtard and calling us stupid. Just feed it, play with it, and exercise it and it will be your friend for life. Very sorry you have had such a bad experience in your life with dogs. For me I love and trust them more than humans.

How can you not love this little face!

One of my dogs died yesterday. He was 12 years ol and the life expectancy for that breed is supposedly 8-10 years.

Buried him in the backyard last night. The ground is rock hard clay even though it is on a sprinkler system. I sure wish I had had a pick ax.

Sorry to hear this, NavyVet. Losing a pooch is like losing family. I'll be keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.

    Thanks...

Was picking up my wife at the airport last night and didn't want to tell her until after we had eaten dinner (no need ruining her dinner also), but she seemed to notice that I was a bit quiet and asked what was wrong. He had died sometime during the day since I had seen him that morning and when I was leaving to go to the airport, I didn't see him, so I went looking around the yard. He had died while laying in one of his usual shady spots.

    Very sorry for your loss.
Don't know how many more of those I can take.
Hoping against hope this one outlives me.

How did this become a dog thread? Dude doesn't want a dog. I'm not particularly fond of them myself, but they are useful as a bare minimum nighttime security tool, I will admit that. They make your house dirty as hell, you have to clean up all the time, they smell, they cost a ton of money at the vet for stupid shit, much more than the cost of an alarm system I might add, the list goes on on their drawbacks.

New to the internet? Threads morph... Usually towards sex, politics, guns, or religion... This one took a branch that ended up about dogs. Just hang on and it'll change eventually...

Worth all of that and more for the loyalty and perceived love they provide. Again then never run their snarky mouth at you and will (if you pick the right one) eat the bitch ass out of an intruder or some dud e you put him on. Completely worth all of the money in the world and slobber they emit. More than 75% of American homes have or had a canine at some point.
