Heavygunner & Utah, Good on both of you. That's a good start.

Yea I was told the G19 is very reliable gun to start off with. I went shooting for the first time with it today. This was the overall results from it. Shot off 211 rounds.

Yeah, I noticed my shots drift towards the left quite a bit. Any tips on how to fix?
You might be anticipating the shot (leading to jerking the trigger, squeezing, etc). A fun way to check is to have another person work the trigger, while you do all the OTHER stuff. So, you get the right kind of stance going, have a good grip, get your sight picture all nice and aligned, then you concentrate on all that while someone else *gently* applies pressure to trigger 'till the gun goes bang.

I find this works really well if I have a student that is getting that low-left (for right-handers) sort of pattern.

If it turns out you are anticipating, then you get all those solid mechanics going and then practice gently and slowly applying pressure to the trigger yourself -- leading to a "surprise" trigger break. Keep doing that 'till you basically don't care about the bang anymore since you are so focused on the rest of the stuff you are doing to put the bullet where you want it.

Ruger 10/22 takedown. I sold my 10/22 last year and have missed it ever since. Decided why not get the takedown model. Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore had them on for $299 and free shipping on Black Friday. Came with the 25 round Ruger BX mag too.

Already installed a TacSol SBX barrel, TacSol extended mag release and Ruger BX trigger.

    Just needs glass now.

How do you like the BX trigger, Mike? I have two still in the packaging, haven't had a chance to install them yet.

I got one of these a while back and found a regular backpacking pack to put it in. I put padding in the bottom, and it fits in there nicely when taken apart. The waist belt has some pockets that fit around 300 rounds in each one, so 600 rounds of ammo on the pack. And it has longer pockets on the sides, which I can fit two BX-25 mags in each pocket. I really like it so far.

Took me forever to find a pack it would fit in. The usual tactical backpacks won't work. In fact, almost all of them were too short. But I found a backpack in the Cabelas Bargain Cave. Someone had returned it, and it was less than half the original price. Best part? Its bright blue, and no one would ever know what's in it.

    Worth the wait.

Still waiting a shooting report on the 10mm Grand Power.

I got to put a few rounds down range with the Grand Power 10MM. Thanks for the Shady Oaks tip its a nice range and I have to say all the staff was friendly and helpful

I took my glock 20 and the Grand Power to the range along with some other heavy hitters this morning. I had a couple of requests for a report on the 10mm Grand power so here goes.

The Glock 20 and GP10mm are almost exactly the same size. The GP is lighter than the glock not by a big deal I dont use a scale but 1-2 ounces I wold guess.

The GP grip is more rounded and feels good in the hand I think due to the shape it feels smaller and is comfortable and it seems to fit in my hand better but I am used to glocks so prefer the glock but I do think after I get more time with it I will like it better.

The gp has more shape to it and is not brick like the glock. It has a rounded slide that was cut in steps so you can feel ridges in it I am not sure if there is a reason for it its not real noticeable and looks good.Fit and finish are outstanding everything functions smooth and is nice and crisp and feels like a very well made gun. I did not try the double action on it but single action is very nice and way better than the stock glock.

at 15 yards my groups were a bit smaller with the GP and I have used the glock more so was surprised with the smaller groups.

Felt recoil is noticeably less with the GP. I am not saying the glock is out of control I am fine with it but the GP is just nice and smooth I am not saying its down in the 9mm range. But I would rather shoot the GP than a 40 cal simi auto.

Over all I am very happy with it but and aint there always a but lol.

I paid 350 ish for my used glock 20 and 750 for the GP. For a gun I was just going to use hunting or to be beat on as a carry gun I would take the glock. If I want to go out target shooting or go to a BBQ I would take the GP.

In a Nut Shell the grand power is smooth I was more accurate with it and it had a noticeable less felt recoil and I am in no way sorry I purchased it.

The only hickup I had was in the first 2 mags I had 2 times it did not fully close the breach so I guess it was a failure to feed. I attribute it to everything being new and I did not take it apart and clean it prior to shooting. I just opened the box filled the mags and went to town.

    I was using amscor 180gr.

Other guns that made the trip.
Keltec sub2k glock 17. I should have read the manual on how to adjust the stock :) I ended up getting it off but failed to put it back together at its longest pull lenght so got frustrated and tossed it back in the bag. With it at the shortest distance I could not get a good cheek weld and see the sights correct I did send a few down range and they were low left but I cant blame the gun for that.

S&W 44Mag combat 69. I love the gun. Friggin brute force monster. seemed very accurate and recoil was way more than the glock 20 LOL. Its the only revolver I own. SA very nice smooth and crisp. DA meh hate it and don't know what to compare it with just seems like why do it other than if you were in a gunfight and I don't carry it.

Last was another 44Mag and it was one I have had 9or so months and is the only gun I have I was almost afraid to shoot.

Its a Bond Arms 44 mag Darrenger. There is good reason they no longer make or sell the 44Mag barrels for it. I shot 2 rounds and the only time it will come out of the safe is as a dare to friends to shoot it. The only fun thing that can be said about shooting it was I moved the target to 5 yards and the blast literally made the target crumple and pulled it loose from one of the target clamps. The Bond Frame does not have a trigger guard and I am not sure if that was a good or bad thing. My middle knuckle on my middle finger is bruised and in pain lol.

    Thanks for the great review.
I sure would like to hear how shooting the GP with some full power 10mm loads, like Underwood 180 grain, would compare to shooting a 40.

Does anyone know if buying 2 guns within a week increase your chance of being delayed or denied? I just recently got into firearms, and about a month ago I got a glock 19, and just this week, I bought a M686+ revolver and a springfield 1911. They're both on their way currently, haven't gotten to FFL dealer yet. I completely forgot buying multiple firearms within a short period of time might be considered suspicious by the government.

It is not supposed to be. I used to get delayed sometimes, others not. I have seen cops get delayed or even denied.
Would not worry until it happens.

Unless you are buying 5 or 10 at a time, I wouldn't worry about it. I bought 3 at once about a year ago, no delay. I just wish I hadn't gone boating so soon afterward...
