I had to leave my family today to come to work. It's an evil. The other choice is to stay home and my family starves. Another evil. So I chose the lesser of two evils, yet the lesser is still evil so I guess I should just sit and pout instead.


A cancer patient has the choice of getting treatment which includes some horrible side effects or not being treated. They must decide which is the lesser of two evils.


Evil is a part of your everyday life and there is no utopian reality where it is not. It's childish to pout and stomp around because you can't get a perfect solution when you want it.

You having to get your ass up and go to work is called responsibility. There is nothing evil about that. A disease has no concept of good or bad, it's not evil, and I'm sure the doctors and nurses in charge of doing those treatments would have an issue with them and their work being called evil as well. Those treatments might not be pleasant, but they save lives. There's nothing evil about that. If you think that's evil, then you don't have a clue what evil is. Evil exists in the hearts of men. Bad men. Having to do something you don't want to do does not qualify as evil. Not by a long shot.

I don't live with my head in the clouds dreaming of a perfect utopia, because I know evil exists, and it will exist until the end of time. I carry a gun for that reason. I'm going into law enforcement for that reason. What I'm not going to do is pretend that allowing evil to go unopposed is ok simply because it happened to be the lesser of two evils. No matter how hard you try to justify it, it's still wrong.
