He was shot 5 times because it was a 9mm.
Was the shooter justified? Of course! But she can ask any question she wants to, whether it makes sense to you and me, or not.Grief or not, mama don't get to ask that question of a law-abiding citizen taking out the "trash". PERIOD.
Sad any time a life is taken.
However, the mother is probably lashing out due to her own guilt. She likely knew of the problem. Lifestyle may have contributed. Now the guilt is hitting home. Human response is often to blame others rather than self.
She can, she did. Doesn't mean I won't decide to stop feeling her pain and call her a jughead and laugh at her twisted value set. Not to mention the media giving her the damn platform to be an idiot. Was the shooter justified? Of course! But she can ask any question she wants to, whether it makes sense to you and me, or not.

This also fuels the believe that KSAT12's intent was an anti-gun rights bias here.
That accomplice who was with/helping hims SHOULD be up for a murder charge since there was a death as a result of their attempted robbery. Put that scum in the lock up before someone else's life is changed or ruined for ever.

I get your point, but in this case, there was no "murder" with which to charge the accomplice. Although, in Texas, he will be charged with at least aggravated robbery as a "helper", even if he didn't present the weapon himself. That accomplice who was with/helping hims SHOULD be up for a murder charge since there was a death as a result of their attempted robbery. Is this satire? I'm sure she never had any good models herself, but yes she is a big part of the problem, as is the absent father. The young man’s Mother did not Fail him.
