No, I do not think that. Not every or even the vast majority of kids taking meds that ends up over medicated was a danger to society in the first place.

LOL, I had to look up the AR five seven. First I googled it and read about it: Magis on TOP of the rifle and it ejects into and thru the lower mag well...WTH???? Am I reading correctly, what kind of Rube Goldberg is this thing. Well its as goofy as it sounds:

I've seen and handled these and I always thought they were great. If you're going to shoot that caliber, ammo is expensive. You'll want to reload. A bag attached to the magwell means you can rip off plenty of shots without losing brass.

Yes, I know there are brass catchers for regular ARs. However, they're bulky, clumsy things that hang off the side. The brass catcher for a 5.7 AR can be much more elegant in implementation.

Lots of battle rifles had mag on top or side.
Anyway, kid will get mental help but he had it all planned. Even his exit. Dump and join the crowd. No attempt at defensive moves that would have endangered himself. Nothing nutty about him, just nasty. Courts and lawyers will 'protect' him. His confessed 'sorry' is BS.
