No one is saying it does. What has been said is, do away with Gun Free Zones - allow those teachers that have a LTC, to carry if they choose to do so. Don’t make it a criminal offense for teachers who have a LTC, to carry on school property.

If that were TRUE and you really BELIEVED it you would have stopped it right here, "do away with Gun Free Zones".

Sorry, I get a little peeved when I hear people say in one breathe that we need more people carrying in this state and with the next breathe say, but not in the classroom, as if in a classroom they now couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

I will reiterate: I believe teachers and staff should be allowed to carry at schools, but only if they have a LTC, at least then you know they had to have had some proficiency test to receive that LTC.

You must start out every day peeved after a look in that mirror then.

By the way Jack, I take exception to anyone using general terms to teachers, not all teachers are as you describe and those teachers you did describe probably don't carry a gun.

It's easier to frame poor arguments using broad generalizations and non sequiturs. Sometimes a straw man or red herring can help to seal the deal.

I actually don't know what to say back to you. I have been reading through your ramblings on this thread and they're making less and less sense. Please stop generalizing us into groups and talking about taking away anybody's rights.

At home I can undo what teachers teach if it doesn't fit my thinking. I can't bring a child back to life because a teacher wasn't armed. I care about what the teachers spout but it doesn't matter as much as my child coming home. I don't care about the teachers political leanings as long as they have a LTC and send my child home. Get rid of Gun Free Zones.
