So the dumb bitch just shot at someone in the dark without ID'ing or without any threat to her. Could have been a maintenance man fixing a blown breaker, or any number of possible situations even if in her apt. On a side note, BLM will still call her a racist.

I know one thing. I do not want to be thought of as a great guy. A hero of my community. These people are always the one that die like this. Every time the media interviews family or friend of the deceased, they always talk about how great a person he was and what he did for the community.
Something to be said for being a crabby old gentleman.

Sounds like the guy might have gone to bed and didn't close his door all the way.

    Botham's family and attorney speak.
So that was an interesting video. The lawyer made no mention of a “witness” (the word he had used earlier) but instead opt’ed to refer to “additional evidence”. Off hand, I’d say he had “gotten a talking to” by the DA’s office. I do note, at the 18:40 mark of the video, he seems to advance the notion that perhaps not all the information needs to be in the public domain.

On the DA press conference video, a female reporter asks about the ‘new witness’ (@ 12:40 mark) which the family’s attorney mentioned. And then today, he makes no further comment about it. Interesting...

Perhaps the preacher was knocking boots?

But he has,....errr....had a wonderful singing voice.

deemus, BTW, thanks for posting those videos. I don’t do FB but they were interesting to watch.

[ETA]: I also note one of the reports said the two didn’t know each other. That directly contradicts what more than one of the apartment building neighbors said, in an earlier Channel 11 CBS report.

So door is ajar but she did not draw. Saw figure, draw, fired, then entered apt, call 911, adminstered FA, then realized apt was completely dark and turned on the lights while talking to 911.

    Yeah, sure.

Here in Indy the info is spotty at best. Talk radio today (Dana) mentioned this officer has had other issues.
I need to dead back through this thread.

    To All,

This whole deal reminds me of a case out of MD about 20 years ago, when a lady woke up at about 0800 to find a strange man (DRUNK & fully dressed) asleep/passed out next to her.
She called 911, the county police responded & thereafter found that the builders, who had built all the houses, had (supposedly for "simplicity") keyed all of the 200+ houses in the new neighborhood on each street the same.
(The drunk had returned to the house that he thought was his, went inside with his key & went to bed. = He had mistakenly turned on the wrong street, 2 blocks from his own home.)

    yours, satx
