It's about the ad revenue. It's easy to find videos with people bragging about buying a car from YouTube money. It's not so much about themselves. Even less about the gun. It's all about money.

Otherwise they wouldn't be doing it on the scale they do. $$$$$$

Not anymore. Almost all gun videos have been demonetized by YouTube. Content creators have turned to donations from Patreon supporters to maintain revenue.

Almost all of them? Which ones are which? Some folks have lost ad revenue. Others are still at full steam.

Does it really matter where the money comes from?

I say almost all because I don't know for sure if it is all but every channel I follow has said the same thing. Hickok45 for example says the vast majority of his videos are automatically demonetized. My point is it isn't nearly as lucrative as it used to be.

I've noticed that higher viewed channels fight between each other.

They drum up drama by cussing each other's channel. Saying to each other what the other guy is going use the money for. They're buying an 'X'. Ratting each other out for views. It appears to be a cut throat business.
