Broken ribs in an 85 year old lady have, obviously, and higher 1 year mortality than for the young. Meaning she'll probably get out of the hospital but there is a fair chance she just got pushed down a one year spiral to the end.

It's the human condition. I hope she makes her peace before it is too late.

A few years back, an 89 year old buddy broke his wrist.

6 months later he died in a convalescent home.

Another mutual friend had spoken to him on the phone the morning of the day he died and he (the 89 yearl old) reported feeling fine and then, bam, that afternoon he was gone.

Old people don't fare well with broken bones.....

My daughter is crying and asking me “is Trump is going to use his executive power as laid out in the constitution to replace Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a champion of women’s rights, with a far-right justice who will keep the court conservative for the next few decades?”

She’s two years old and I have no idea what to say to her.

Hold her and say, "I certainly hope so, sweetie."

Politics aside she isn’t doing her job.
Hasn’t been for some time now.
Falling asleep during hearings would get my ass fired.
    Why is she any different?
Did your contract have the clause "for life"? Now certainly I don't like her views on the constitution and think she should retire, but being fired is not an option in her contract, and who's going to try to impeach her?

LMAO. Dude, you are a rockstar. Best post ever.

I wish RBG well, hope she recovers quickly, and then immediately retires to spend her remaining year with her grandkids.
