Resized my 6mm CM cases including the new Lapua brass. In the tumbler again now.

Sorting through 9mm cases (should have bought new for my project) for load development. Will start a thread if anything good comes out of it.

Sized around 1500 bullets and cast some bullets for my .327.

Casting smaller bullets is a hoot.

I saw a Facebook post where someone did some expansion tests on those 45 devestators. Pretty impressive.

This weekend I cast some more 45s and a few hundred more 380s. That 6 cavity 45 mold sure empties the lead pot quick! Especially compared to the 2 cavity 380 mold!!!

I got to playing around with my powder coats and was able to get a cool blue with black speckles on it. The black seems to stick together and leave bald spots though. The blue by itself doesn't do that. Combined it does a little bit. Weird. Gonna stop using the black now.

All in all I have about 1000 45s and about 900 380s. Gonna start sizing 380s tonight. Ordering a 452 sizer later this week.

Oh Oh, watch you wheels for missing weights now. Black doesn't flow as well. I mix with red & white to get a grey/purple but you really have to mix it well.

    What powder are you using?

I tried HF red and Eastwood green. The HF was ok but the Eastwood was garbage.

I bought powder from smoke over on the cast boolits forum and I've been impressed. I got 3x ⅓lb bags of handicap blue, black, and longhorns orange (I named the colors that). The blue and orange have been great. I'm about to order another 3 pack from him with different colors to play with again. I still have plenty of blue and orange to mix as well. I'm thinking tacticool-zombie green, red, and something else. Last time I asked him to pick his favorite for the third color and he sent me the longhorn orange.

Started cleaning up my bench shelves of random tools. Need room for when I get more equipment.

I'd rather do the whole back in peg board, but I had this already.

Get the Astatic Red and Ink Black. You'll thank me later.

That's the Astatic Red on my new .45 ACP hollow point mold. I'll get some pics of the black but it covers just was well. The mold is the NOE 193 gr. A smaller hollow point than the Devastator but a more rounded profile.

Found a picture of the black!

Casting is as addictive as hell. Once you buy $1k of NOE products you get a permanent discount code. Also you get some killer 25% off sales during the year. If you haven't used a brass mold then buy a brass mold next time. Arsenal molds makes some really good molds too.

I'm up to a dozen hollow point molds, those are a whole addiction alone.

Hell, I traded for a .327 Federal Single Seven so I'd have something new to cast for.

I still need to get you guys to show me how. I've got two melters and a 5 gallon bucket full of molds. Just don't know how to do it.

Check out the YouTube channel 'fortunecookie45lc'

I learned myself by watching videos and practice. I traded a Chinese mosin for a pair of lead pots and a 9mm mold from another guy on here. It takes some practice to get it perfect. No matter how much I watched I couldn't learn when the mold or lead temps were too hot or cold until I tried it myself.

I need to do some organizing myself. I think I'm going to do rows of French cleats.
That would be nice, I wouldn't mind doing that if I wasn't renting. Easy to make if you have a table saw.

A guy I watch you YouTube put them in his wood shop, I really like the idea.

Ah, yeah renting makes that less attractive to be sure. I need a table saw and a drill press. Wood working ideas keep popping up in my head and I'm still lacking some of the basic tools.

YouTube and some research for another wood project is what got me interested in them as well. I was looking at those expensive organizer rack systems until I came across the cleats. Now I'm all in on that idea.

    deemus,

Come out to Kaufman and I'll teach ya. I'm available most of the time since about the only things I have to do are doctors appointments and Costco/gun store trips.

I am gonna take you up on this offer. Its time to learn.

I was talking to a neighbor who was taking truck loads to salvation army. She asked if I wanted a tabletop jigsaw so I took it. Then she gave me a radial arm saw and a table saw to go with it! It was a right place/right time kinda thing. She said her dad kept buying her the stuff and bringing it to her even though she couldn't use it. I've done some electrical and plumbing work for her before and after that for next to nothing.
