What was the grape soda/vanilla ice cream float called?
Purple Cow
Bonus point: What was an Ice House?

Don’t you have a 1911 to be shooting?
Was it called the grape soda vanilla ice cream float?
Ha, I remember the Black Cow (just barely) and Burger Chef. And the Lone Star Ice House further north on Broadway. Lived in Alamo Heights as a young kid.
At first I thought you were talking about Jax the beer, which has passed into history. Crappy beer so no loss in the beer department.
The original's long gone. The last one was on Main downtown Houston. The one that scabbed the name, not sure. The original morphed in Prince Food Systems.Prince's Drive In. Not sure if they are still around.
I'll have to try that next time I'm out that way.
