    Strange indeed.
To me it appears anything but strange. A good deal thread is based upon supply and demand and lists the best deals around relative to that supply & demand and the current regular price. When supply is low due to high demand, as it is currently, prices are also much higher. Thus it makes good deals much higher priced than they were a year or so ago when supply was much better, demand was much lower and good deals were heavenly as compared to those now.

Considering todays sky high prices on guns and ammo over last year's prices, I am going to call this a good deal:

Yildiz 410 Single Shot Shotgun available at Academy Sports for $129.99. I just watched a review of it on YouTube (the guy had not shot it as of the time he reviewed it but good enough for a first impression of how it was put together).

The guy made another video showing him shooting it to get the patterns it produced at 10, 20 $ 30 yards. He seemed a little confused since when he holds up the target, in the studio after shooting, he says he was off to the right at 10 yards but when you see him actually shoot at 10 yards he is not off to the right but shot somewhat low or so it looked to me.

The price was shown as $129,99 around January 2019. Since it is the same price today, I figure that is a good deal or at least certainly a very fair one. I may just have to pick one up tomorrow, says they have tem in stock at my local store. Anyone have a clue as to quality & reliability?

My reply was not in reference to 5th grade economics, but thanks for playing.

I am amazed though that no one, like Dawico, has accused you of buying all the ammo since you got more than the limit! Amazing.

No offense to you, I think it grand you got that much. Not a bad price nowadays either. Good for you.

I really dont give a rats ass about city yuppies wanting some 9mm for the handgun they will never shoot and will sell 8 months from now. Must be about 1500-2000 boxes of 9mm on the shelf and the dude in the ammo section was the one who told me to grab some since the cashiers cant tell their ass from a hole in the ground

You arne't going to gun shows and selling it for profit and then bragging about it here acting like you're doing a favor. I live in a town of 5000 people. I'm no city yuppy. I haven't been ABLE to shoot since April because of these assfucks. I was going to the range twice a month before COVID hit. The first time I shot since April was at the family reunion (missed you) and between my pistols and rifles I put less than 70 rounds down range.

It's that bad because of people like Glenn, who's made the spreadsheet with his fuckery. You and your wife buying rounds makes sense, you're shooting them, not scalping them to people with jobs.
It's the idiots that buy it at high prices that drive the price up, not the sellers.

There isn't an ammo shortage, there is just high demand and buyers are driving the price up. Sellers don't set prices, buyers do.

Glenn sells the ammo for the same price as he bought it. He just charges the buyer for his effort, which they were not willing to give and so it is a better value for the buyer to pay for someone else's effort.

I can make a hamburger for cheap, maybe a whole dollar or so if I use a fancy bun. Whataburger charges about 4x the amount of what I can put a burger together for. They arent scalping or unethical. I am paying for their effort. I, the buyer, view it as a "good deal" to pay them for their effort rather than spend my time to make it.

Ammo buyers are willing to spend more money than effort to get ammo right now. Glenn is just willing to spend his effort to get money. No one is forced to buy it.

That is a nice supply, have not seen that much anywhere in along time. Funny how it is so recent to after the election that a large amount like tht has appeared; wondering if coincidence or not. Regardless that was an excellent find.

What thread did that happen in? I must have missed it.

Not being able to shoot sucks. I stick to my rifles mostly because I reload for them. You should definitely get into reloading if you havent already and after all this calms down (if it ever does). What I have been doing currently is making rounds to every box store whenever I am able to. This is the only way I have consistently found handgun ammo.

eh go for it. Theres plenty of members on here who I have sent items to for free or who I have gone out of my way to help them out. If I wanted to be greedy, I wouldn’t have shared this info on a forum with thousands of members in the dfw area who can go to scheels right now and get 9mm

The kit is already on backorder and will be here in january, dies are going to be bought next month and I'll begin reloading AFTER this is over. I've already put people like him and PEOPLE DEFENDING THAT FUCKERY AS ECONOMICS on the spreadsheet. It's not supply and demand, it's scalping.

He was bragging about it in a thread a week or two back and that's when I was over him on this board. It's bad enough he was a fed, but to be a scalper too makes him lower than a democrat in my opinion.

Which kit did you buy? And what calibers are you looking to load?

This is what happens when I am not on here consistently. I miss all of this
He was a fed like an atf agent ? Or was he a .gov desk jockey?
