Yeah that horseshit ain't gonna fly here in Texas. No way.
I hope not.
Is it still ok to shoot people breaking into your neighbor's house?

I think it would depend upon the circumstances.
If the neighbor was not home, I'd guess probably not okay. If the neighbors were home and you clearly demonstrated, or they did being in fear for their lives, I'd guess probably okay.
That is entirely a guess.
Reason I ask is that there was a case years ago, IIRC in TX, that a guy heard a ruckus next door at his neighbor's house while the neighbor was on vacay, called 911, told dispatch he was gonna go out and shoot the two intruders, and did so. The whole thing was recorded by dispatch, the man claimed they appeared threatening, no charges. It was reported that it is ok to defend neighbor's possessions.
Here we can't. Deadly force not authorized over property. Only in cases of threat of immediate bodily harm to self/you or others. Look up Michael Strickland case (not property, twas AntiFA) ... guilty of brandishing or whatever even tho a disparity of force was evident.
God bless Texas!!!

Well, over 5 million people in Texas voted for Biden...Yeah that horseshit ain't gonna fly here in Texas. No way.
The state is not the giver of rights, they are inherent in the individual, the state cannot take away my right to defend MY property as I see fit. If someone values my property more than their life, they made that choice, not me.This isn't related to any of those bills, but if this winner is your rep, you should be working to get her out:

Criminal mischief at night...
Youre gtg as long as you articulate what you reasonably believed at the time you REASONABLY acted. READ THE LAW AND CASE LAW.
E.G. Just because deadly force is authorized for criminal mischief at night when reasonable doesn't mean you have a free ticket to blast anyone checking the box of "criminal mischief at night" it still has to be a REASONABLE use of force/deadly force.

Just read about this. Trying to understand the implications. No stamp required for SBRs or suppressors if made in Texas? How would that work with the FFLs? Would full auto be legal to manufacture under state law? So many questions to be answered, lol.Good one, for once.

It might keep the local and state police off your back and out of your house, but not the Feds. Still might come in handy when/if Biden outlaws semi auto rifles, braces, and standard capacity magazines. Who makes those things in Texas tho?Didn’t Indiana or some other Midwest state try this only to have the feds still come after and convict the guy taking advantage of that law? Yea it sucks the feds will turn a blind eye to marijuana laws but double down on the gun laws.
