Knew better than what? To take a short tour in a building where tours are regularly given? I read a post about a cop who might get fired for being there because he went to the capitol before the crowds came, went in where the police said he could, stayed where they said he could be, and left when they asked. But go ahead and signal to the leftists that you'll turn on people to support the narrative. I'm sure they'll go easy on you.

Some do appear to have been let in and left when told.

Still we have others who were definitely not where they were supposed to be. We know there were Trump supporters attempting to get in to areas they shouldn’t be and we have video of them threatening security (shortly before a woman was shot). We know a security Officer was killed.

I have been with everyone else saying that if BLM is really peaceful they should be calling out those who are violent and they wouldn’t. I will not pretend that there weren’t idiot Trump supporters taking part in this stupidity and I have no problem calling them out.

I’m not going to go on about a “mostly peaceful protest”. And when I talk about the morons in the capital building it should be easy to know which ones I mean. I don’t have the ability to say who was let in, when they were let in, who broke in, or who refused to leave. But I know a mob formed and people who were there for Trump did very stupid and dangerous things which hurt our cause. I will not defend them.

People find every reason to turn on Cruz despite him standing up for the 2A, pushing back against social media, working with Trump to get shit done despite all the insane bullshit Trump said in the primaries, and still stood against the fraud even after a bunch of morons fucked the conservative movement by rampaging through the capital building.

And they wonder why it was close with Beto? Keep running down the candidates that are actually doing good because you don’t agree with every single thing they do and we are sure to see a Dem replace him. Then pat yourself on the back for the good work.

Excellent post! There is a compromise where we need to set the bar high enough but not so high that no one lacking divine influence could reach it. Cruz is far better than anything that passes for a Republican in Indiana these days, especially our center-left governor.

More than a few people keep talking about how ANTIFA infiltrated the Trump supporters. I think that a few very well could have, and could very well have to some degree instigated what happened. Very possible.

But facts is, Ashli Babbett by her own words and videos on several social media platforms, was a vocal Trump supporter, and was passing along QANON messages and philosophy. She was firmly entrenched in her beliefs. Nothing wrong with who she supported by any means.

The notion that there were four busloads of ANTIFA masquerading as Trump supporters is beyond ridiculous to the point of being absurd. If there really were four busloads, show the pictures from a credible source, then I might believe it. Might.

I do not disagree - it is just as clear that some people were trying to force their way in when they should not have been. They should face appropriate penalties per applicable law.

Are you aware that a pretty well known BLM agitator was a few feet from Ashli just before she got shot? And a guy in all black was hanging pretty close to him and seemed to be doing his best to escalate the situation? I'm not going to try to excuse illegal behavior, but I think there's more to the story there.

I've got nothing to defend the people who seemed to assault the cop who was killed there. After seeing the video, I don't think there's much more to say.

It seems pretty clear that there were some people out to cause trouble, and a lot of people who exercised some pretty poor judgement. But I think there were a lot of people who acted appropriately and within the law that are getting lumped in with the troublemakers. Both in the capitol building and elsewhere in DC. The media is pushing this to so much of a frenzy that children are turning their parents in to the FBI just for being in DC at the time. Companies and government agencies are firing people just for being in the area, even though the only illegal act involved is their firing.

I’m aware of the known BLM guy who claims he was just covering the events. Unlikely with his history.

I don’t know who was around the woman when she was shot. I know the standard I’ve held others to when protests turn to riots and violence, and that standard hasn’t changed. When the group you are with turns from protest to mob, you get out and make it clear those actions aren’t supported. You don’t try to climb through a window while they yell.

I think the capital police were completely overwhelmed leading to a total breakdown in command. The confusion we have with the incident and how it all happened is probably a result of the confusion during the incident.

I haven’t called everyone who entered the capital building a criminal. I haven’t supported anyone getting fired for being in DC. It’s wrong. But I’ll also be clear that I don’t support those who did riot, I think they were wrong for doing it, and I think they did tremendous damage to our fight and ability to gain support.

I hope all the others who were in DC to peacefully protest and chose to do the right thing that day are saying the same and I hope they are not railroaded by a political show trial. So far the FBI seems to be looking for specific people who were definitely in the wrong (in my opinion). I’m sure it will come out if things go beyond those lines for more than just questioning and investigations.

I have watched a lot of the videos. Just wish I knew the timeline for when they were recorded and where. Until we get some kind of information on the internal communications and orders within the USCP we really have no idea why anyone was allowed to enter.

Overall, I know we were hurt very badly by what happened. It’s gonna be tough to recover.

Yeah if you insult them enough, it makes you look completely correct. Keep on going with that attitude.

You can remove the insults and put in any words you like, but the point of his post still stands.

There are plenty of videos and pictures showing people doing things they obviously shouldn’t be doing in places they obviously shouldn’t be. There’s really no excuse for it.

Forgive me for saying phucking. The Webster's definition of idiot is an appropriate designation for what I saw.

Is stupid shit as a descriptor for ones actions an insult?

In your zeal to signal your virtue and willingness to lay down and roll over for the new ruling class, you seem to have become unable to separate who has done what and are enthusiastically painting wide swaths of people with the same brush. You don't seem to understand that they'll be happy to do the same to you when they decide you're no longer useful.

"The flames of ignorance burn without pain. Beware the power or it will consume you before you know."

You my friend are burning to death and dont even realize.

Calling those who actions are plain to the world to see something is not lumping all who might have similar feelings or opinions in together. Saying trump was a buffoon and damnd fool for his actions is not virtue signaling

Thinking you know anything about me bassed on my postings on this one event is truly ignorant.

Weather you keep lashing out from that unenlightened position because of your opinion is up to you.

Critical thinking. It's a skill you have to practice so bias doesn't cloud your ability. Conspiracy theorists are often afflicted by confirmation bias.

The Trump supporters at the Capitol that were rioting. That was wrong. Most of us condemned and criticized ANTIFA and the BLM last year for the same actions.

But rest assured, every conservative, and every one that voted for, or supported Trump is going to be under attack. And you are correct, it's wrong to lump an entire group together and especially those that didn't participate, but they will, because they see all of as the enemy, and are fearful of what it might take to make all of us rise up against them. They have every right to fear us, because we are the armed and silent majority that has scared them for decades. But, the events of last week at the Capitol, game them something they wanted, proof of us being dangerous, and it has emboldened them.
