I'd say my stance on him is evolving as we learn more. In 2015 he was the man I wanted to see in the White House. Trump pretty much destroyed him in the primaries. As a senator overall I thought he did alright - a far better job than the senators that allegedly represented me at the time (Greg Walden and Ron Wyden - the later being a turd who lives with his family in NYC but somehow still is the senior senator for Oregon)

I would've liked to see him nominated to a position like AG or SCOTUS - he's an intelligent man and better versed on the Constitution than 90% of the suit warmers in DC.

To be honest though - I want to see every single politician from the lowest to the highest ranking in this country fired, stripped from running for office again, and replaced with new blood. I want the back of the monster broken - the swamp drained and the carcass of the swamp monster put on display for all to see - that's a damn pipe dream though.

Cruz is a far sight better than John Coryn, and Cruz has at least called for term limits. Maybe he should lead by example though and not run again - pass the torch to someone else. From an outsider's standpoint - his race against Beto seemed pretty crazy close - maybe he's lost the ability to energize his base.

Who in Texas could stand up and energize the base, uphold the Constitution, and serve the people? I'd say maybe Allen West, but honestly I'm not even sure he could do it - though he did win chairmanship over the Texas GOP which would be a good start. Who else is there? I don't want to see Abbott ascend there - not thrilled with how he's handling the COVID bs. I don't think Dan Patrick will run either, and maybe he shouldn't. Ken Paxton? Too much baggage.

I hope info comes out that would show that Cruz didn't just slam people who supported him by calling them terrorists for seeking redress from their government thru protest.

People find every reason to turn on Cruz despite him standing up for the 2A, pushing back against social media, working with Trump to get shit done despite all the insane bullshit Trump said in the primaries, and still stood against the fraud even after a bunch of morons fucked the conservative movement by rampaging through the capital building.

And they wonder why it was close with Beto? Keep running down the candidates that are actually doing good because you don’t agree with every single thing they do and we are sure to see a Dem replace him. Then pat yourself on the back for the good work.

Well said @Younggun ! Totally agree with that reply and was pretty close to echoing my own thoughts.

Not one politician are were ever going to agree with 100% all the time. That just isn't realistic.

But Ted Cruz has fought for us for many years, first here in Texas, then in DC.

What he said about the "protesters" was exactly correct.

Not to mention his work arguing in front of the Supreme Court including cases for states rights and the ability to give child rapists the death penalty instead of feeding and giving medical care to the sorry pieces of shit until somebody decides to parole them.

This purity problem that persist on line is real stupid. I agree 100% with what you said.

I know many people won’t admit it, but if Cruz would have won in 2016 not trump, chances are we wouldn’t be in this situation as we are now.

trumps personality was very off putting when he didn’t need to be.
I will never forget him calling the porn star he banged horse face on Twitter. It just wasn’t necessary. How many people just said **** this after that, and the many other times he said similar things.

From that perspective.... You are absolutely correct. I'll rescind my previous negative comment(s).

And that's what scares the establishment.

With the damage he has done to the conservative movement in the past month or so, it scares me.

I like most of what his administration has done. The judicial appointments will survive, but by blowing the presidential election (it should not have been close enough for fraud to tip the scales) and costing us the Georgia senate seats, most of the good his administration did will be wiped out in a year. He needs to ride off in the sunset.

I find it odd that if these "protesters" had been known members of ANTIFA, or the BLM, and had done the same thing, (and they have as we saw last year.) the vast majority of us would have labeled them criminals or domestic terrorists. And IMO, that would have been an accurate description. Just because this group were and are Trump supporters, doesn't make them anything less than the same as ANTIFA, or the BLM.

Understanding their frustration and anger, is one thing, but what they did on the 6th, was criminal, and can't be justified in any way, regardless of who they support.

Cruz was entirely correct in disavowing them and being critical of their criminal behavior.
If this had been antifa, there would have been wholesale destruction. Arson, looting, etc. on a large scale.

    Not in the same class.

As far as the fraud goes, I believe it was at a scale unsurpassable. That goes for Georgia too.

You are aware that many of those people who "breached" the capitol were let in by police who opened the doors and stood by to let them file in, right?

They were all idiots that knew better. Weather the police stood down, let them I what ever I don't know, there was more than enough stupid to go around.

Mobs are often just gaggles of stupid people.
It can be a right wing or left wing mob. The rules still apply. Breaking into congress is nothing short of live action role playing. But this fantasy has consequences.

They were allowed to enter from the outside into a corridor, by the officers. So no, that door wasn't breached. The breaching was the second set of double doors at the tip of the stairs, leading into the senate lobby that was being blocked by the three officers, where Ashli Babbett was shot outside of.

That video is also been posted on the other thread.
But nobody got through that door. And the guy leading the whatever at that door is a fairly well known BLM agitator.

Knew better than what? To take a short tour in a building where tours are regularly given? I read a post about a cop who might get fired for being there because he went to the capitol before the crowds came, went in where the police said he could, stayed where they said he could be, and left when they asked. But go ahead and signal to the leftists that you'll turn on people to support the narrative. I'm sure they'll go easy on you.

World class mental gymnast. Self guided tours. Let's see how many use that defense.

As for the rest of your comment. autofornicate. You're ignorant as to my intentions or actions.
