My other favorites are all 1911’s, too but this is the most favorite.

My picks are a close tie between my Sig P220 and my Ruger P90. Both are great shooters and I never had a issue.

I loved the 4506 when I first bought it but then got bored with it.
Had a p 220 when they were imported as the browning bda but the trigger in double action was Awful haven’t shot one since though they a probably much better today

Glock 21 gen 3 IIRC. The first gun I bought when I came to Texas. Recoil seems less and fits my hands and I can shoot good with it. Also have a Kimber 1911 I love and am very accurate with and a Springfield 1911-A1 Loaded model I like very much!

If your answer is a 1911, what is your second favorite 45 acp to shoot, and why?

Nothing against 1911s (I have a 1943 Ithaca World War II bring home, and Remington R1), just looking at other favorites.

    thescoutranch,

    #1 = Colt's Series 70 GM
    # 2 = My USA Model of 1917 .45ACP revolver.

    yours, satx

Given the replies showing all the guns used, figured I'd be a bit more specific. Have a very early Kimber five inch, 2 5 inch guns I built, a Para P-12, an American Tactical Commander size, and a RIA compact 3 1/2 inch. Add the M-1917 S&W. Didn't mention it earlier because was figuring handguns, but also have a small ring Mauser I built in 45 Auto.
