Just picked up my new to me Remington R1 Enhanced 1911 .45 acp from the FFL today. Needed a host for the Rugged Obsidian 45 can that I was finally able to take possession of several weeks back. I wasn’t actively looking for a 1911 host simply because I read that threaded barrels sometimes had to be fitted, then I’d have to figure out something for the sights. Wasn’t worth the trouble, so I settled on trying to find an HK tactical or FN tactical since threaded barrels and suppressor sights were factory installed. I was even open to a Glock 21, but the threaded barrels are like hens teeth. Could find them anywhere in stock. All back ordered. Then I stumbled on this by accident. Factory threaded barrel and factory suppressor sights. Never knew there was a such thing produced from the factory that wasn’t a custom, so I jumped on it. With the now defunct Remington brand taking hits for spotty quality, I hope this is one of the good ones..
