Learned about this while I was out shopping with the family - my cousin texted me. He also sent screen grabs of some stuff he found. It is uncorroborated, but seems to match up:

IF this stuff pans out as true then it follows that this was well planned, and the bastard purposefully used an AR15 because it would garner more attention and hate. He was also a racist POS who hated black people and wanted to maximize damage to them. I'm not sure if the terrorist label fits because I'm not sure he had a political agenda, other than being an asshole and pissing everyone off and an evil desire to kill innocent people.

The dude wrote messages and words of hate all over his rifle. He live streamed his killing. He tested his stream before acting. He knew the layout of the store he targetted. He knew their security. He even looked up the peak shopping times supposedly to maximize carnage.

That was my first thought. Hate to go all tin-foil-hat, but there's been so many damn high profile shootings by leftists when the gun-banners don't get their way - my gut reaction to this is some sort of false flag or pre-planned attack to make gun owners, and our evil AR15's and evil semi-auto rifles look bad to the fence sitters. They have to get the focus off the impending overturning of legal baby murder, they want the people disarmed so they can ramp up the abuse, and its an election year and they want to sway people against those awful gun-loving republicans. If this don't work, expect more school shootings, more mall shootings, or some Malvo-esque sniper that will inevitably be using an AR. A really evil one with a sniper scope, a laser, a flashlight, and an evil bipod thing.

I agree. Someone using far right websites, and all the things the left hates about the right to push a point. AR15, body armor( on a largely unarmed target), other common home defemse weapons,,,,and then carefully itemizes them in his manifesto.
His list of arms and armor and how he ILEGlly modifried them was very carefully and pointedly listed. WHY? He wanted them known for a reason.
If killing non whites to save White America, why shoot a white woman first? Makes no sense and does not bolster his reasons.
If you really look at the totality, he says one thing, but shows he just wanted to kill as many as possible.
It also shows that the laws against those firearms as well as magazines, pistol grips and stocks are absolutely worthless if someone is determined to do what he did.
And making sure citizens are disarmed is a recipe for disaster.

Never allow a crisis to pass that can be exploited to further an agenda.
