Can you show me another time a country invaded another and took over their land and was considered weak?
Can you show me another time we poured hundreds of billions of dollars into a war, and justified it by saying we had to stop a weak country from starting world war 3?

I would agree that Russia is weak compared to us. I would agree that Russia is weaker than a lot of people previously believed. But I’m not really sure id describe them as weak in general compared to many other countries. People in this thread who are in favor of continuing to fund the proxy war will say they are weak, yet don’t treat the situation as if they are weak.
    Weak is relative...

When a one time world superpower invades, it better be dominant or they look weak, because they are weak.

If the World Cup winners played a game against a JV High school team, the JV team should never get a point scored... yet here I'd say the winners in ever metric other than land area that has changed hands, Ukraine is winning.

You get this point while others refuse to see it.

If a child cannot lift a 50 lb. barbell, then no, the child would not be considered weak. But if a 6'5" 300 pound football player cannot lift a 40 lb. barbell he would absolutely be considered weak.

But that doesn't jive with H's narrative, so he twists or ignores.

I asked if Putin was looked at as weak. Russia is a strong country no doubt but Putin starting a 3 day excursion that has now gone over one year I would suggest is looked at as weak by his countrymen instead of the shirtless fighter riding a stallion. As the death toll increases Putin's image is not going to improve. Just my opinion, perhaps they love him like we love our commander in chief. Sarcasm at no extra cost.

kind of like when we were told it’s just two weeks to flatten the curve? We had multiple elections here where we elected and re-elected presidents who campaigned on ending the wars in the Middle East, only to keep dragging the war out until it’s the next guys problem. So why should I think that putin cared if it went on for 3 days or 10 years, when we would never believe anything like that from our own politicians?

to make another sports reference, this would be like saying the JV team got less points than the World Cup winners, but the JV team was the winner in every other metric. By what strategic goals are you measuring winning by?

I race bicycles, one of the hardest this to get new racers to understand is energy management. That making a break or going hard mid-race, or even winning a stage of a stage (cumulatively) race can ultimately cost them the race, essentially a Pyrrhic victory.

I say russia has lost for several reasons
    - Politically putin is a pariah
    - economically they have lost a huge portion of their work force
    - Militarily they have had nearly all of their modern equipment destroyed
    - russia's ability to impose their will economically, politically or Militarily on others is weaker now than it was before Feb 2022

How quickly did America win the war in Afghanistan? Did we defeat the Taliban or evacuate 20 plus years later while arming them? Does that make America weak? Or do we just have idiots for leaders?

At least Ukraine has endless cash and equipment supply for now, granted they are limited on bodies.

If Ukraine can’t inflict 8-1 casualties on the Russians, it’s just a slow expensive loss.

Eventually Ukraine might get less money and equipment as others countries run low on their own equipment and decide its not worth it…

Whatever the actual specifics “on the ground”, emerging publicly available information is heavily propagandized and unreliable.

We KNOW that our government & media are but LIE machines.

Given the above, how can Y’all rely on media reports, especially those from sycophantic lap-dog “media”?

The very fact that Russia still occupies much of Ukraine, several Uk cities are mostly destroyed, & Uk incursions into Russian territory have been minimal ‘’media events’’, tells me a lot.

I still don’t get that most here doubt & suspect everything from our current ilicit regime; except on this one topic.

Reports of Ukrainian offensive action in various places, including Leopards now being employed. They are trying to keep a lid on specifics so as not to give the ruzzians any info; this is how a spokesperson reacted to a request for information:

Meanwhile the ruzzians still can't kick Russian freedom fighters out of Belogrod region. Have to wonder why the mighty ruzzian military can't kick fighters out of their own lands?
