If only RPGs could be used legally on the road, there'd be a trail of charred auto parts from Houston to Dallas. :banghead:

We're up here in Frisco for the youngest daughter's skating competition, and the drive out here got on my last nerve. You know how it's supposed to be "Slower traffic keep right"? Never happens; even when people try to do it, so many end up bailing back into the left lane and both lanes end up a mess. And why is it that the only 5 cars in the area all have to fly together in formation instead of spreading out and speeding up?

    Bah...

Yep, they do love each other and can't be seperated.
I prefer the 2 lane rural roads with slow movers my self.
I can get around 'em eventually.

maybe it's because i'm born and raised in Spring, but I much prefer Houston drivers to DFW or Austin or San Antonio. It's funny how each region has its own style of (stupid) driving.

Pssshhhh-Texas drivers ain't got NOTHIN on some of the cities around the US. After learning to drive in San Diego and LA, and then being around the US a little, 80% of the time I can get through the traffic out here.

That, and many of them will pull over onto the hard shoulder to let you by. I love driving out in west Texas.

I drive I-20 to from Ft. Worth to Midland/Odessa each week. Same happens there. But I can tell you that it is not just Texas drivers. It's the same everywhere you go once a certain number of vehicles get on the same stretch of highway.

Get behind a left blinker indicator ignoring mini van from Oklahoma sometime. You'll pray for a Texas driver.

The only ones that piss me off are when you're going down a two lane country road, someones going at least 10 under the speed limit, and then when you try to pass them, they speed up. I've had that happen twice-both with my son in the truck with me and both times a car in the oncoming lane was starting to come at us. I swear, the second guy-I was mad enough at I could have gotten in a fist fight with.

I hate it when I pass some one on my work truck(speed monitored by gps) and as I check my mirror to move back to the left lane a car jumps in and start passing, after that it's almost impossible to get back over.

There is no way I could be a truck driver...

+1, I always hated driving on I-5 you would think with 4 lanes it wouldn't be that bad. I do occasionally get frustrated driving in San Antonio but it's got nothing on so-cal definitely glad to leave that clusterf*** over there

People try that with me, I just start getting over anyway. At that point, they have two options: 1) Hit the brakes and get behind me, or 2) Swerve into the ditch at 70mph. So far, they've all chosen Option 1.

One time while pulling a BIG trailer with 3 rock buggies on it, I waited very patiently for a more than reasonable gap to pass a pair of SUVs pulling ski boats. Mind you, we were HWY-6 where there are TWO lanes for your direction. Each time I tried to pass, they would speed up and I would end up getting behind them. I just didn't have the power to get by. They did it three times (accelerating from 65 to maybe 85mph). On the third time, I just started getting over, even with my 48ft trailer fully alongside the douche in the murdered out Tahoe. He swerved onto the shoulder and of course got behind me.

No sooner than the Tahoe is behind me and flashing his lights, I see the reds and blues flashing in the side-view mirror. I had no idea there was a cop behind us, but apparently he saw everything because he actually pulled over the guy in the Tahoe. I wonder what the offense was. :D

I've been a lot of places and driven among the worst.
I may get flamed but here goes.
North Carolina. Best drivers in the nation.
Not a skill thing just some common sense.
Them folks understand "merge" and "lane closed".
It just seems to work better there.

Is it just me, or do San Antonio drivers love stopping in the ACCELERATION lane to get onto the highway? I only ever see it in San Antonio.

Question for the LEO folks - is there a general-purpose violation category on the ticket that's basically "Was driving like an asshole"?

I have seen some serious crashes in San Antonio. And have been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on a Sunday afternoon. It seems there are a lot of rubberneckers.

    Try Lubbock.
3 lanes, 200k people, worst cluster f*ck I've ever seen.
Only lasts 20 minutes but DAMN!
Don't you dare try to pass someone.
    Heaven forbid it rains.
