Jealous of you guys, would have loved to have gotten in on something like this, Plus 1 if you ever decide to do one in the San Antonio area I would definitely do my best to attend. And T-Dawg I told you this place was awesome I see you're having no problem making friends and getting something out of it, we need to get together and shoot sometime.

    T-Dawg is the shit!

I see Tejano Scott had to use the Blue gun. WTG, newb.

So, Jared, when are we setting up a TacII/III weekend? October / November?

For the record, Scap, T-Dawg and I demolished an XX-Large pizza, even though Scap is on a diet. Go Big, then Go Home. :D

Count us in! I would also recommend anyone that is looking for some training, post a thread and get a group together. Chris said he only needs a 1 to 2 week notice.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe October/November. ... I'm open to suggestions.
    TMI version:

Count me as a strong advocate of November or later. My personal circumstances are working against me.

First, I have to put several thousand rounds downrange in a bullseye mindset, plus at least a couple of hours of dryfire practice per day, to get ready for a pistol class the first weekend of October. I was able to get into a small class taught by Brian Zins and his AMU coach. I can't miss it nor will I show up unprepared, especially since I have to shoot against him in a formal match the night before class starts. How many times has he won the overall national title for Conventional Pistol? I think this year makes 10. He's gonna slaughter all of us, obviously, but at least he'll know how much work is ahead of him.

Second, remember that I told you I had a wrist injury that might take me out of the class Saturday? The class was definitely worthwhile but I feel like I nearly destroyed my right wrist. There's fire shooting through it with each pump of my heart. All I can say is "Thank God for morphine" and "I need as much recovery time as possible before the next class." I'm on diet strictly limited to dryfire and .22s until at least mid-October.

    tl;dr version:

I vote for as much delay as is reasonably acceptable to everyone else.

BTW, Ben, midnight, T-Dawg, scap and Chris I enjoyed meeting other members of this forum. It was nice to finally put faces with screen names. I have been a lurker far too long on this forum. It was good to be among you gentlemen. I hope to be a regular at classes and get togethers.

I look forward to meeting the Sunday class sometime soon wherever that may be.

Tejano Scott, thanks for going out of your way today to do me a favor. It was good to meet you today.

MidnightYell, you did all did the work man! I have never had anyone improve as fast as you did.

Then that must have been an insanely fast improvement time because I was a better shooter on the 4th shot I took. Chris watched my first 3 shots, gave me one correction(trigger control) and I had over a foot improvement on paper in the group size of the next 3 I shot. I also have to credit Gramps standing next to me and giving me some coaching(he's an excellent shot).

This course was absolutely 100% necessary for me. I've been wanting to do a training course for a long time. I am glad I chose to do my training with Chris. He is an outstanding teacher and I definitely consider myself an improved shooter. I still have a long way to go and a lot of practice. I haven't shut up about how much fun I had(despite shitty weather, standing in a puddle of water, and unrelenting ants) since I got home. I am on board for TACII/III and I want to take courses from others too. Round count was a little lower than I wanted, but I blame that on the weather. And we certainly benefited because Chris shared so much extra knowledge with us. As everyone has mentioned, Scap99 was an awesome added bonus to this training. Both of these guys just have a great mindset that fostered an environment of learning.

Thanks to my brotha Jared for setting all of this up. He gets the MVP award every time he shows up to Houston. Thanks to my classmates Chris211 and Dianna(a damn good shot herself- 1st shot out of her gun was a bullseye), Gramps for the extra coaching, Radioman93 for all the glock jokes and for answering the age old question of who you shoot first if Jakassh and AkMike are both charging you at the same time with various accessories in hand. Had a great time at lunch as well. Always fun getting to socialize with other gun nuts!

I forget TS, which did you say was on the Left? That one ended with the crotch shot. Oh and thats the string that was 4 rounds out in about a second and a half or 2 seconds.

Awesome class. Showed me how much I was doing USPSA proceedure by muscle memory. Kept wanting to unload and show clear at the end of the shooting string rather than when I was done looking for any other threats. Something that I am going to have to correct. And how much rapid fire accuracy I have lost since I got out of competition shooting.

As far as the next levels. If we want to give time to train and let things sink in how about Mid November for level II, that will clear folks for the holidays and traveling and stuff and then something mid January for level III to keep them spaced out about 2 months apart. This would also leave October and the first two weekends of November clear for those that want to do the Hicksville shoot. I am good with Nov 10/11 or Nov 17/18 for level II.

What say the group? Start a discussion thread on it?

Please note not a SINGLE S&W in that shot. But darn if ALL the glocks that were there didn't have the SAME malfunction all together in a group. I tell ya those glock fanboys and fan ladies stick together no matter what.
