Could they sky rocket the tax's on guns, ammo, mags and can it be done with an executive order?

Pretty sure anything relating to generating revenue MUST go through the house, including firearms and ammunition tax.

Could be wrong, he might try it anyways.

Here's how Executive Orders have previously been used In Regards To Gun Control.

    "Executive Orders

On March 15, 1989, less than two months after taking office, Bush temporarily banned, by executive order, the importation various semi-automatic assault weapons.[3] That ban was extended a few weeks later to include additional firearms,[4] and was made permanent by Bush in July, 1989.[5]

During his term, President Clinton also used the power of executive orders to implement gun control policies. On April 6, 1998 Clinton signed an order that permanently banned the importation of more than 50 semiautomatic "assault weapons".[12] In 1999 White House domestic policy chief Bruce D. Reed said, "The country is tired of waiting for Congress to respond to the tragedy in Littleton. The administration is going to do every thing in its power to make progress on guns."[13] In 2001 Clinton also used executive orders to ban the importation of "assault pistols" and tighten licensing rules on gun dealers.[14] Many accused Clinton of overuse of the executive power on gun control issues."

An executive order that violates the Constitution and Bill of Rights is not at order, it is however treason and reason for impeachment.

    YES! That's what I believe.

Our right to own guns is not granted by the Constitution. They're God-given rights, merely recognized by the Constitution.

Anyone who tries to grab my gun is grabbing my God-given right to protect myself.

Looks like more than a hint and don't think the constitution is going to matter, some org like the NRA needs to start an impeachment campaign.

“The president is going to act,” said Biden, who is conducting meetings all week on gun control. “There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken. We haven't decided what that is yet, but we're compiling it all.”

He could declare all shotguns larger than a .410 unsuitable for sporting purposes and therefore Destructive Devices.

He could command the ATF to consider every semi-automatic firearm readily convertible to a MG if they can be made to fire more than 1 shot per trigger pull using soft primered ammunition with 1 week or less labor at a fully stocked machine shop.

Or he could just do what he's been doing til now and ignore the law and just tell the ATF to make shit illegal without congressional authorization.

Congress does have the power to nullify executive orders but they probably couldn't get it passed.

With current numbers it would take a lot of support from the Dems, just as they will have hell trying to get gun control pushed through.

I think the house, if they had any backbone, could start cutting funding to the ATF as a way to fight it.

So not having a budget means it's impossible to give them one?

I don't understand how the various agencies get their money if none is allocated through a budget. Who sends it after it is collected? Do they just print checks with no funds to back them? Stop allocating money and when the parasites quit getting paid they will wander off seeking a new host. Starving the government of the only thing it seeks is the only option it seems.

OK, I meant that Congress doesn't have to approve the gun ban, not that the congress agrees that the president has such executive order power.

Obama doesn't want to risk losing Democratic seats in Congress. This would happen if they voted against gun bans. So Obama can simply do this with executive order, and keep all of his little Democrat minions!

I do not think you understand how EO works?

POTUS can only EO based on laws Congress has passed that give him specific authority, like to decide whether a gun is sporting use or not.
