    Helotes!
    I swear, some people are lucky it's not illegal to be stupid.

    I'm coming home from work today and see a pick-up truck with two teenagers in it and a Christmas tree in the back. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out what they're doing, especially when I see them turn down a deserted back road.

    I wait a minute and head down the same road and here they come in the other direction sans Christmas tree (I had their license plate number so I know it was them). I do a U-turn and catch up with them at a stoplight. I signal the driver and he rolls down his window. I instruct him to go back and retrieve the tree or I'm calling the SAPD. Oh, and I've got pics of them with the tree and without it, so all I need to do is find the tree and I've got all the evidence I need of illegal dumping.

    I wait a few minutes in a nearby gas station then head down the same back road, and lo and behold here they come with the tree back in the bed of the truck!

    I am pretty sure they're just going to dump it somewhere else, but what peckerwoods go to illegally dump a Christmas tree in the middle of the day near a crowded intersection?

    Honestly, it's sad what our society has degraded in to. That particular road is only about a half mile long but is constantly used as a dumping site by lazy scumbags who can't be bothered to depose of their trash properly. There is a group that cleans it up all the time, as well as a SAPD sign for reporting illegal dumping (207-SAPD, I've got it on my cell phone); but still these jerks continue to toss their trash and let someone else clean it up.

    I doubt they realize I did them a favor by telling them to retrieve the tree. I could have easily reported it to the police and with all the evidence I had, it wouldn't take much effort to track down the culprits.

    Sorry, I just had to rant. Things like this tend to irritate me.

    Cheers! M2

    Max -- relax!

    This is "Dirty 'Ol SA, after all!

    Orejones don't abide by the UCMJ, and SAPD would have cried a river over a dead Christmas tree.

    Why did BCSO, SAPD, and other LEO agencies spend thousand of hours nailing hookers and their johns, when prostitution is considered a normal, peaceful and regulated activity in practically every foreign country you ever served?

    Peckerwood - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Peckerwood (or simply wood) is a slur used through the mid 20th century by southern African Americans and upper class whites to describe poor rural whites. It is roughly synonymous with "cracker," "redneck" and "White trash," more prevalent in the southeast, although the last implies a degree of moral turpitude.
    Blacks saw blackbirds as a symbol of themselves, and the redheaded woodpecker as a representation of working class whites. They considered them loud and troublesome like the bird, and sometimes with red hair like the woodpecker's head plumes. This word is still widely used by southern blacks to refer to southern whites.[SUP][citation needed][/SUP]

    Since you don't seem aware of the law, I'm providing it for your education and even highlighted a few sections for ya!

    § 365.012. ILLEGAL DUMPING; CRIMINAL PENALTIES. (a) A person commits an offense if the person disposes or allows or permits the disposal of litter or other solid waste at a place that is not an approved solid waste site, including a place on or within 300 feet of a public highway, on a right-of-way, on other public or private property, or into inland or coastal water of the state.
    (b) A person commits an offense if the person receives litter or other solid waste for disposal at a place that is not an approved solid waste site, regardless of whether the litter or other solid waste or the land on which the litter or other solid waste is disposed is owned or controlled by the person.
    (c) A person commits an offense if the person transports litter or other solid waste to a place that is not an approved solid waste site for disposal at the site.
    (d) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor if the litter or other solid waste to which the offense applies weighs five pounds or less or has a volume of five gallons or less.
    (e) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor if the litter or other solid waste to which the offense applies weighs more than five pounds but less than 500 pounds or has a volume of more than five gallons but less than 100 cubic feet.
    (f) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor if:
    (1) the litter or other solid waste to which the offense applies weighs 500 pounds or more but less than 1,000 pounds or has a volume of 100 cubic feet or more but less than 200 cubic feet; or
    (2) the litter or other solid waste is disposed for a commercial purpose and weighs more than five pounds but less than
    200 pounds or has a volume of more than five gallons but less than 200 cubic feet.
    (g) An offense under this section is a state jail felony if the litter or solid waste to which the offense applies:
    (1) weighs 1,000 pounds or more or has a volume of 200 cubic feet or more;
    (2) is disposed of for a commercial purpose and weighs 200 pounds or more or has a volume of 200 cubic feet or more; or
    (3) is contained in a closed barrel or drum.
    (h) If it is shown on the trial of the defendant for an offense under this section that the defendant has previously been convicted of an offense under this section, the punishment for the offense is increased to the punishment for the next highest category.
    (i) On conviction for an offense under this section, the court shall provide to the defendant written notice that a subsequent conviction for an offense under this section may result in the forfeiture under Chapter 59, Code of Criminal Procedure, of the vehicle used by the defendant in committing the offense.
    (j) The offenses prescribed by this section include the unauthorized disposal of litter or other solid waste in a dumpster or similar receptacle.
    (k) This section does not apply to the temporary storage for future disposal of litter or other solid waste by a person on land
    owned by that person, or by that person's agent. The commission by rule shall regulate temporary storage for future disposal of litter or other solid waste by a person on land owned by the person or the person's agent.
    (l) This section does not apply to an individual's disposal of litter or other solid waste if:
    (1) the litter or waste is generated on land the individual owns;
    (2) the litter or waste is not generated as a result of an activity related to a commercial purpose;
    (3) the disposal occurs on land the individual owns; and
    (4) the disposal is not for a commercial purpose.
    (m) A municipality or county may offer a reward of $50 for reporting a violation of this section that results in a prosecution under this section.
    (n) An offense under this section may be prosecuted without alleging or proving any culpable mental state, unless the offense is a state jail felony.
    (o) For purposes of a prosecution under Subsection (g), a generator creates a rebuttable presumption of lack of culpable mental state if the generator of the solid waste to be disposed of secures, prior to the hauler's receipt of the solid waste, a signed statement from the hauler that the solid waste will be disposed of legally. The statement shall include the hauler's valid Texas driver's license number.

    Fair enough. It's a class B misdemeanor. Whoopdeedoo. Doesn't mean you haven't committed a more serious crime. You've still got way too much time on your hands, and too much wood up your ass.

    Is there a law against being a prick?
