This past summer the family went to Corpus to visit the wife's family and for me to get together with my old LEO buddies. We had a big day at the beach, and there It hit me that all of us had let the pounds creep on over the years. I was 242 (at 5'9") and wearing a 42 pant. I decided to do something about it.

Stopped drinking altogether, I now drink only 1 cup of coffee a day and water. I changed by diet to a ZONE style diet eating balanced meals 5 times a day.

I weighed in at 177 last Friday and wear a 34 pant. My final goal is 170. My past fit weight has been 160, but I always felt a little light at that weight.

I have also been able to stop the blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds. No more daily meds for me. It is difficult to describe how much better I feel.

Eh.... I was at 240lbs not too long ago. Dropped down to ~209lbs by the end of college. It's been about 6-7 months and I'm floating around ~230lbs. I'm not happy with myself, and intend to do something about it. Target weight is 170-180lbs.
