If you go to the FedEx website, you are asked to choose your country location. The list is alphabetical, with the first country listed being Afghanistan. On the UPS website, the list is also alphabetical, but they have tweaked it so the US is first on the list. I like that. UPS > FedEx

USPS > than both ... at least as far as when I've gotten packages delivered; always tends to be faster when shipped through the post office. That's only on delivery ... if we delve deeper, then that's a whole other story ...

Man out here in SW Texas FedEx means you'll never get your package! Lamest group of drivers I've ever seen, if they don't feel like driving out to your house that day they'll leave the package at the local Legion for you!!! UPS on the other hand has the most kickazz driver, this guy will drive to the end of the earth to get you your package, UPS A+A+A+

Had GOOD and BAD experience with both. But I have to agree with rsayloriii.....USPS is my favorite. We get no mail at residence and the P.O. Box is great if you're out of town. You know mail is secure. PLUS!!! About 2-years ago our Post Office started offering package drop of service from both FedEx and UPS. On orders that won't allow shipping to a P.O. Box.....I just use the Post Office street address and our box number. Works great.

I really don't like Fed Ex ground. They don't even make an attempt to knock on the door. I understand that it's probably because the service isn't requested by the shipper, but leaving a package at my door in an apartment complex's public breezeway just seems ridiculous. I do prefer UPS or USPS to my box if possible.

I ordered $260 worth of freeze dried emergency food which was shipped by Fed-Ex. They showed delivery but it never arrived HERE!. The shipper filed a claim, they asked me questions about my home and neighbors but the food is still missing. The shipper has my money, FedEx has my food and I'm stuck exactly in the middle with my thumb up my butt!

Sorry but I'm not too impressed with FedEx because the buyer gets the raw end of it. There's no need to hurry and this garbage may take 10 days! Today is day 5.

I've never had any sort of problem with UPS and have been using them for over 20 years.

    This simply sucks!

Well, the whole alphabetical thing aside, I think a lot has to do with chance and location. I prefer to ship guns via Fedex, as I am in good with the local FedEx store clerks and they seem to know their policies a lot better than my local UPS store clerks. As for receiving shipments, I have had problems with both UPS and FedEx, but UPS is generally better. USPS....way down the list. They have just jacked up my stuff (in and out) way too many times and their prices aren't worth the buck or two savings over the others.

I wasn't shipping so I had nothing to say about it. I just received an Email stating that my order had reshipped by UPS. It took almost a week to investigate the loss.

When the vendor states an "adult sig required" is messed up. no matter who is used.. IMO

Unfortunately, some vendors MUST require an adult signature to satisfy UPS's requirement to ship HazMat materials and other items. Heck, for shipments over 1K, a special form prints out in the ship manifest that requires the UPS driver himself to acknowledge he's picking up a high value package!!

Sometimes it's not about what's easy, it's about what's required. I too hate this requirement. That's why we have everything critical shipped to a UPS store, lol.

We do not require a signature unless it is a gun purchase, no matter which carrier we use. We offer flat rate shipping price for Fed-Ex or UPS and if you are ever required to give a signature-I am told it is because the driver feels the package should not be left. Maybe a kind of rough looking neighborhood or something. Then again, I have had customers call in and say that their tracking shows the package was delivered and they say they were home but nothing was delivered...nobody even knocked. I guess it's a number of factors on both ends. lol

I don't really mind it too much but I think it is something that the vendor tells you up front so I don't have to wait until after the first attempt to set it up for a hold for pick up.

Another check mark in the good box for Geri. Flat rate ship, no tax out of state, no sig required.

The Fedex investigation leaned towards someone in my neighborhood grabbing the package. They said that it was delivered at noon on a Friday. I was at home then. Jake was also on the job and I guarantee that if the driver had come to my door, I'd be scraping Jake off of the ceiling! NO ONE came to the door to deliver anything. I live on a dead end street with 26 households. We all know each other and watch everyone who comes down our street. No one here stole that package!

I suggest that the FedEx driver dropped it at the wrong address in another neighborhood. In our area, every Fedex shipment is delivered by a stranger. They are always new and unfamiliar. I know the UPS guy's name and he knows me by name. THAT's how to get good delivery service!

Incidentally, Copes ran a sale on freeze dried food (meats) so I bought one of those, too. It was shipped quickly and I received it without any hiccup. Once again, Copes came through with 100% satisfaction!
