don't we all. Some 14 yr olds can give Hillco Gunsmith some better inputs too.I know some 14 year old I feel safer shooting next to than some 44 year old.
Minimum age? How about task enough to see over the bench. Lots of people teach their kids to shoot at a very young age.
So notex, I'm guessing you don't want most LEO's on your range? Most of them don't have a CHL.
Minimum unaccompanied age should be 18.
Regardless, I like a policy of must be 21 or have a CHL for handguns.

Again, it ain’t my potential range we’re talking about and I never said anything about excluding LEOs…although most LEOs are 21 or over.Lots of so I’m guessing you don't want most LEO's on your range? Most of them don't have a CHL.
You are mistaken. As previously mentioned: LINK "You must be at least 21 years of age or at least 18 years of age if currently serving in or honorably discharged from the military."Kind of redundant ... you have to be 21 to have a CHL anyways.
Good for you. Please re-read my posts. My kids were shooting competitively at the age of 12. What's with this "21 or CHL" garbage???
It’s the same mindset I have why I don’t sell a HANDGUN to someone under 21 (unless they have a CHL…see below).
Tall. 3am auto spell.task?
Personally, I'd like to see a requirement that males would have to wear their pants at the waist and not lower...
Females may dress as inappropriately as they'd like!

see belowWhy [don't you sell handguns to under 21]? The law doesn't require that of you?
Not from a dealer, which Hillco Gunsmith is. 18 USC 922 (b) (1)There's no point on age restricting a handgun to 21 and over because it's legal for an 18 year old to buy a handgun in Texas.
ah yes, and we can all agree on this.Females may dress as inappropriately as they'd like!

He's not talking about selling guns here, he's talking about shooting them.
Gentlemen, I doubt that any of us on this forum are problem children on a shooting range. We've been taught properly and we teach our kids properly.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks out there who can legally buy rifles and pistols but were NOT taught properly. With all the latest gun hype, there seem to be more bozos on the local San Antonio gun ranges. My suggestion was to simply help vett some of those before they set foot on a new range owner's property AND increase the overall safety/enjoyability for all. If you think about it, my suggestion would likely would be zero impact for most of you (and your kids that you bring with you to shoot) but might keep away the 19 year old gangbanger trying to shoot his Glock sideways.
It's interesting a hypothetical rule suggestion for a not-yet-open privately-owned gun range generated so much knee-jerk vitriol. Let's all save it for someone challenging our 2nd Amendment rights.
Ultimately Hillco Gunsmith will decide what works best for his range. My final input would be that San Antonio already has a few ranges with questionable reputations. It would be nice to have a quality range with responsible patrons.
ah yes, and we can all agree on this.
