Went to the range to sight in and test fire. Rifle shot great. Limited number of rounds put through it, but it fed all the different ammo i tested through it just great. Shoots cheap steel cased 55 gr .223 fine, just a bit left at 50 yards when compared to 62 gr 5.56 green tip.

It was cold and drizzling outside.

As pictured, a Troy folding BUIS, MOE grip and a Nikon M-223 scope on a LaRue mount.

Nice, Kurt, very nice. I have the same scope on my V5 also.

Jak, is that rain water on your rifle, or did you spray water on it for effect?

Very nice rifle, I think you did a good job on the upgrade.

If you don't want the signature on the stock, buy an identical one and sell that one. I am sure you can make a small profit from it, and someone gets a unique piece of memorabilia. (well if it salvageable after the washing :) )

Aw heeellll naw. I don't fake shit lol. If I could have it my way it wouldn't have been wet to begin with lol. I was at the range, ASC, and it was cold, windy, and raining. During cease fire you have to put your rifle on a rack by the edge of the area under the shade, so the wind + drizzle came on my gun.

Also moistened up everyone's targets to the point they were blowing off the posts since the staple couldn't hold moist paper lol.

He pee'd on it to mark his territory.

I wonder how RL Ermey feels about Jakasshh taking a whizz all over him.

Gotta own your stuff, don't care what he thinks lol.

Haha I could just sell the stock MOE that came with the rifle and use that towards something else. I'm fine with the CTR for now.

I just have to send my grip in to tangodown so they can use it for reference and line up the holes on one of their grips so it'll fit mine. They're great people.

DD makes some darn good looking rifles.

    Nice pictures!

EDIT: I really like the look of those STR stocks from Magpul. I really like my IMOD, but would pick either an EMOD or the STR in a heartbeat.

    Very nice!
CR123s also last MUCH longer than regular batteries.....

according to the specs on EOTech's site, the AA batteries last 1000 hours on "nominal setting", while the XPS2 battery life "at brightness level 12 is roughly 600 hours".

Don't know what the difference is between "nominal setting" and "brightness level 12". I imagine brightess level 12 is really bright, and nominal is very dim.

I had so much magpul stuff on my last AR, i'm trying to diversify it this time around lol. Hence the reason I went TangoDown grip and stuff.

Oh yeah, the rifle is now gripless. I sent out the A2 that came with the gun to Tangodown so they could get one of their grips to the same specs as mine so it will fit.

Had a friend ship me out a spare A2 grip he had laying around, and i'm hoping it comes in tomorrow or saturday to fill in until TD gets my stuff back to me.

I actually meant they last longer just sitting, supposed to have a 10yr. shelf life IIRC.....
