    1. Pistol braces are well within the NFA rules.

    2. It sounds as if you've basically given up on gun rights in general. Never known a redneck to give up before he's dead.

    3. Everyone KNEW that Donald Trump would never get elected. Never say never.

    4. Telling people "it's the NFA, just get used to it. Don't fight it, just lay back and try to enjoy it" is not the right answer. In fact, it would be a self fulfilling prophesy. If you truly dislike the NFA the answer is to educate people on why it is pointless and how much it restricts their ability to own rifles and shoguns that simply work better in many everyday uses, as well as increase the costs of ownership. Nobody ever thought a bill to remove suppressors from the NFA registry would even be considered, but that was proven wrong and has the opportunity to take the same path open carry did in Texas.

You seem to be hiding behind an inability to break the law. That would simply be a strawman as nobody has advocated any such thing. You've spent far more time posting about cosmetics than arguing hypothetical legal changes. It's almost as if you are attempting to use the fear of a legal change as a way to support you personal cosmetic preferences.

Let’s be more clear. I am NOT for the NFA. But I am for if we are going to ha e to live with this law at least let’s work well within it. We ALL KNOW it is not going away. And mostly likely will get far worse when the Dems get elected, so why it start there? Let’s quit taking steps to simply « get around » the SBR rules by using these ugly braces when we are likely to see some serious changes in those embrumes after the new election.

You do not seem to understand the simple concept here. Braces are legal on AR pistols. People are not "getting around" anything.

Quite frankly, I am not concerned that you find them ugly. You don't have to look at them or buy them.

If change occurs, people will have a choice to make individually.

NFA laws are racist as the associated costs disproportionately effect the ability for blacks and hispanics to obtain items regulated by the NFA.

    https://census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2017/demo/P60-259.pdf

In order to rectify this injustice the tax should be removed for those being disproportionately effected.

This would cause a new issue however leaving whites and asians being taxed at a disproportionate rate. In order to correct this injustice the tax should be removed for whites and asians.

That way we would no longer have a government agency practicing institutionalized racism.

« You seem to be hiding behind an inability to break the Law. ».

Yep, 100% correct. Because I like most of the rest of you if I even am CHARGED with a crime of a B misdemeanor or higher my job and state and federal licenses will all be suspended immediately. Not just convicted..CHARGED. I have a little more skin in the game than most. if most people break the law they get a ticket or a small court summons. Must be nice for y’all. For me I get immediately suspended from all my licenses and federal security clarance and access revoked. Most of you likely don’t appreciate that other people are not as free as y’all seem to be to stand in front of the gun show and pass out flyers with the Confederate flag attached to the table. But I for one like to make lots of money and feed my family and take a crap room of Disney trips (and buy NFA items).
And if any of you think the above comments about the gun show isn’t true then feel free to accompany me anytime to my former state’s gun show in Jackson, MS. You’ll be amazed at what you find. Not once, not twice, but THREE times last year I found NFA items for sake on the tables right next to everything else. Seller had no darn ideas. And the loudspeaker our front had the guy chanting about the KKK. Very sad.

Once again you are arguin against a straw man.

No one as advocated breaking any law, that is why I said you were hiding behind the argument instead of arguing any of the points actually made.

I've also not seen anyone advocating handing out KKK flyers at a gun show in front of a table with a rebel flag. Are you attempting to associate those who disagree with NFA laws with the KKK? I can see no other point in that portion of the post.

And I can assure you that ANYONE caught with unregistered NFA items will have their life ruined, despite the fact that their crime has no victim.

I am also posting under this thread.
This crap is UNREAL and this is exactly what I was mentioning earlier on what the Dems really want!

The national gun control group on Wednesday came out with a list of items they contend skirt federal firearms laws and threaten public safety.

Describing the items as “the next bump stock” the group argues in a report that each device, ranging from AR-style pistols to suppressed muzzleloaders, is in need of additional regulation and oversight under the National Firearms Act.

“Before bump stocks were used to kill 58 people and maim hundreds of others enjoying an outdoor concert, most Americans had never heard of the device,” said David Chipman, a former ATF agent now working for Giffords. “Now there is a growing cry from communities across the nation to make sure bump stocks can’t fall into the hands of another dangerous person. But it’s not the only device gun manufacturers are pushing that can give someone the firepower of a machine gun.”

The report, entitled “Lethal and Legal” holds that aftermarket binary triggers and trigger cranks should be controlled as machine guns, saying “The gun industry has exploited the NFA’s reference to a ‘single function of the trigger'” to market the devices.

Next, the Giffords say shotguns capable of holding 12 or more rounds, like the UTAS12, are “anti-personnel firearms” and should meet the guideline used for destructive devices such as the Street Sweeper which was placed under NFA regulation in 1994.

The group, fronted by former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords, argues that AK and AR-style pistols use a design that “is a clear attempt to circumvent the NFA’s attempts to closely regulate short-barreled rifles” as are pistol arm braces and blade stabilizers.

“Again, this attachment allows shooters to possess a weapon with the concealability and accuracy of a short-barreled rifle while skirting the regulations of the NFA,” says the report before moving on to incendiary, armor-piercing and .50-caliber ammunition and the rifles that accept it.

Saying the rounds are designed to “destroy or disable light armored vehicles, radar dishes, stationary and taxiing airplanes, and other high-value military targets,” the report paints a picture of their potential use by terrorists.

Finally, the paper casts shade at black powder guns in general– which are not regulated as firearms by the ATF– and the SilencerCo Maxim 50 moderated muzzleloader in particular.

“This weapon is designed with a built-in device to suppress its sound. If any other firearm were built with such a device, it would be subject to the NFA as a silencer,” says the group

Nothing they haven't been screaming for years. Yet gun rights are moving in the opposite direction nationally.

If anything, that post should give you more reason to argue against the NFA and not simply accept it as an eternal and ever increasing weight to bear.

Oh I argue against it all the time. But I also know that my need for toys means I have to abide by a few rules that I fundamentally disagree with.

Same thing is true for prostitution laws. I totally disagree with them. Let’s face it. Married guys pay for it all the time!!!!! Lol

It is a pistol. That is an arm brace, and DOJ posted a letter saying it CAN be shouldered without consequence or NFA stamp.
