I celebrated the sunset of the AWB with an M4-forgery built on a Bushmaster commercial lower. Over the years it has had some updates, most importantly the ACOG to help with my ageing eyes. ARs are a lot of fun and I just ordered another AR kit with a midlength gas system from PSA to build a plinker and to have a host for a Zeiss 1.5x25 I have in the back of the safe for too long.

... and the new one; a PSA kit for $379. I took the butt stock off the other rifle and have a black Magpul MOE incoming for it. I used an Anderson lower for the build. Vortex rings and a Zeiss Diatal-C 1.5x12. At night, with ambient light, the Zeiss -despite its low magnification - is giving a much clearer view than the ACOG.

The triggerpull on the PSA freedom lower kit is long and creepy. I will need to work on that.

I bought one of these this past week, Henry single shot in .223/5.56. I've shot 200 rounds through it so far, and I got a five shot group into less that a quarter. This is great! I got .223 because it's cheap to shoot, I have thousands of rounds and thousands of empty cases ready for reloading. I got it at Cabela's, out the door, including tax to less than $500

A trigger job will fix that. I do a trigger job on all of my PSA kits. Add the light spring kit for an even better trigger.

this. I polish up FCG on all my mail spec triggers and add JP Yellow Springs. Haven't tried any of the other brand springs yet.

I use the green ones. Love the trigger with those springs.

    What they said^^^^^^^

I use JP yellow also. Love the results.

Last PSA stainless I bought I had to STONE the machine grooves out of it. Kinda aggravating but it turned out really slick and nice when I got done with it. Enough work that I dont consider it "theirs" any more.

I have probably 600 or so rounds of argentian 7.62 in links. EFF that stuff. Talk about slowing down your shooting. It is stacked in the end of the road pile....

Hopefully by the time I need it my boys will have strong thumbs and stacks of empty mags.
